Clickers can be a great tool in training many types of animals, even Chickens! However, they are such a precise tool that they are often misused by novice pet owners. In most cases, we prefer using words like "Yes!" because it doesn't require any special equipment and can help promote the relationship with your dog on a deeper and more personal level. Give it a try!

My dog absolutely loves praise. I had never seen the point of the clicker. I have seen how clickers can make dogs obsessive with any clicking sound. You are one of the best trainers out there keep up the good work.

i use BOTH. depends on what i am working on.. yess - mostly, but for specific parts i use clickr.. BUT you need to be superfast.. very happy with the system i use..they watch me with clicker/yess.so that is not an issue..if they look at the hand you are using the clicker wrong. also - It is still being used a a bridge.. reg. loosing the clicker.. my dogs react to all my clickers.. i use different inside and outside.and i belive we have over 20 clickers laying around - or even more. we use them a lot at our facility.. what is quite dangerous is people using loud clickers - close to the dog. It can actually impair their hearing.. try putting the clicker in front of your face and click... this is what dogs hear - since the hand is close to the dogs head.
