Re: the '68 Coronet: White exterior, Red Bumblebee Stripe, black/white interior, and then either black vinyl top or a white? vinyl top. It's a demphasis of the red but would serve to compliment the white and the black.
Looking forward to your builds this year! The Challenger Demon conversion is personally the one im really pumped for. I have the same AMT kit and the Revell Challenger, might consider converting one like yours. Keep it up. Great content and amazing builds!!
I Agree about the Hood fitments. It can definitely be a show stopper. I get that at times buying rebuilders that have been apart for years. Have to bend them back into shape to fit the contour of the front quarter panels. Happy New Year to you & Yours, Good Luck & Have Fun.
Now I dont feel so bad about the unfinished builds I have going on. I look foward to seeing the Hornet get done. Maybe you can do a tutorial video on the vinyl top for the Coronet? Although I think you did one in the past? Look foward to seeing what ever goes on the channel. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. I did a video on how I paint it on. But want to do an expanded video on adding the moldings to the bare body. I have kinda started that project with the 68 GTO and a 69 Camaro. But just have not finished that project. I messed up the Camaro body but have others or will fix it.
Thanks for sharing, looks like some great builds that are up and coming. And this let's me know I'm not the only one with incomplete builds in need of restarting( most are waiting on decals from Ray's kits...awesome dude over there cranking them out). Once again Thanks Bro.👍
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the kind words. We all have our unfinished projects. My "official" started list is down to 28 builds. I'm sure I have other ones that may be started also but for me it comes down to what is "started?" I should probably do a video on this topic for fun. But for me started has some actual fab work, possible primer and definitely if anything is painted. If I'm just collecting parts, had items chromed or removed parts from trees and even what I call preassembly. Those I'm just playing with. LOL.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that sometimes have a problem deciding on body colors. I think I know what I’m going to do, paint it, then decide it’s not what I like. I’ve gone as far as 4 different paint jobs until it looks the right color. It’s nice to see how other modelers plan their builds out, research, prep, etc. Keep up the good work Raul! Always enjoy your videos. Jeff of the North
Thanks. Some probably won’t get done. I have found that pushing myself to finish some can take the fun out of it. So I will push some but if it gets to be a bit to much. I will move to something else.
While I am partial to Mustangs and Cobras (I have one of each currently in the works) I think any of those kits would be cool to see built. I am quickly becoming a fan of the old Mopars and convertibles, so looking forward to those. As always, thanks for sharing and inspiring. Happy New Year!
Looks like 2025 is going to be another great year keeping you building your model car kits, Raoul. I can't wait to see you build your Mopar kits especially your Petty Superbird as I really like those Plymouth Wing Cars!
You had me right away when you showed that '65 Impala convertible. I noticed you have a lot of other kits closer to being finished, but that Impala is the one I'd most like to see. (my family had a '66 Chrysler 300 in a color very close to that Impala pictured on the box)
I'm lucky enough to have a mint jo Han Sox and Martin Superbird kit I got years ago plus that old Revell kit of the Baldwin Motion Dragonsnake 427 drag Cobra
Cool. I rode my bicycle to the local hobby shop in the late 80’s and bought 3 JoHan kits. 64 Super Stock Dodge, 71 Sox & Martin Cuda, and 70 Sox & Martin Superbird. I had trouble building them and put them away till I better at building them. The two Sox & Martin cars were built in the last 10-15 years. The 64 Dodge I still have unbuilt! It’s the only unbuilt kit from back then.
I'm looking for one of those 65 corvair kits. I want to do a complete Chevrolet line build for birth year this year and that is the only one I'm missing. Cool kit
Question: 1970 Mustang Mach 1, what color should the rocker moldings be? The wide panels that says MACH 1. I've searched but I can't find a definite answer. Kit instruction say they should be chrome, but photos on the internet show different.
Best I could figure out was it is semi gloss black. There is restoration info on blacking out the body color behind those moldings so it looks seamless. Otherwise a yellow car would have yellow in between them. Lots of info on how the factory did it and what plant did what plus how it was done on early cars versus later cars. It’s kind of interesting.
You did some interesting projects over the past year, especially that wide body resto mod 1971 Mustang. Are these '65 Impalas similar to the '59 Cadillac, '59 Impala and '55 Chevy Belair? Because those were lovely kits. I recall when the Vector was all over the car magazines in the early 1990s, so it'd be nice to see that. Is there a Cizeta Moroder V16T resin or 3d printed kit as well?
Thank you. Yes, the 65 Impalas are tooled just like the others you mentioned. I have all of them but only built the 55 Bel Air pace car. Also built the 56 Nomad, 57 Chevy 150 and 60 Impala. All great kits! That car I’m not familiar with but just looked at Wikipedia on it. Interesting. But don’t know of any kits.
I’m in no hurry on that one as Kevin keeps saying that he may reissue it. As much as I want to build it. It’s hard to do one like that publicly on the channel as I will get asked about where can they get one. When that video published he had three left but the mold was shot and he couldn’t make any more. He was too busy trying to make 73 Chevelles. The Chevelle was hot but the 74 GTO was not. But because of my video, he sold those last three somewhat quickly at $250. He was asking that or best offer. He got many offers at $70. Most of the resin I have is not available and because of that I’m afraid to post those builds. Nothing like getting emails about me having something that they can’t get and that’s not fair and getting some story about how they deserve it over me. Others like the 73 Manta Ray came to me because of the channel. Now I knew the seller and purchased resin from him in the past. I did not know he made that kit at one time. Had I known I would have bought it then but it was out of production. But he saw me build a similar one and let me know he still had one and wanted to know if I was interested. So that one I don’t mind putting up.
Hey Raoul, how is Revell’s kit 69 Daytona Charger? I haven’t heard a lot of reviews on it, so I was wondering if it was a better kit than the AMT, MPC kits
Took me 11 years to build our Chevelle after I took it off the road. That delayed a few models then. Currently been slowly working the body of a 64 VW bug and helping my dad with his 58 Thunderbird. Not to mention I need to finish the new motor on my 71 Fury Wagon that hasn’t been running for the last 7 years. So I can relate to that as well!
Hold off on the Superbird. Salvinos JR is tooling up a brand new accurate kit to be released sometime this year
I have heard that before and been playing with these two kits. I have had them a few years and felt like working on them.

Thank you. I’m actually working on that a bit. Will do an update on it soon.
@TheMuscleCarModeler look forward to it!

Happy New Year to you as well! Yes, straitening these old builds can be an issue.

Yea! Applying moldings/trim can be a pain. Getting a strip of styrene to flex and form on a body is alot of fun.
That Manta Ray is cool, I'd like to find me one of those for my Corvette collection. Looks like you are planning for a busy 2025.
Thanks. The Manta Ray is cool and should be a good one!
Nice line up of projects. Have fun building them.
Thanks, will do!
Awesome, Raoul. Would love to see the 65 Chevy drop top....
That one I am building. Should be an easy one.
Cool list of projects. I'm looking forward to watching whatever you decide to build.
Thanks!

Very nice list of builds Raoul ❤😊
Thank you! I'm hoping to build all of them in 2025.
Can’t wait to see what you do with the Manta Ray!
I’m planing to paint it just like the only known survivor.
Nice choices for 2025 builds. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Very cool stuff. I really love that corvair so different
Thank you. It’s a cool car.

Thanks Jeff! I’ve been there many times!
Quite an ambitious list. Can't wait to see how they all turn out.
Thanks. Some probably won’t get done. I have found that pushing myself to finish some can take the fun out of it. So I will push some but if it gets to be a bit to much. I will move to something else.
Very cool looking like a busy year.
Yes it will be!
Nice project builds. I have a bunch of them myself. Enjoy the builds.
Thank you. Enjoy yours as well!
Great vid and looking forward to your builds
Thanks!

Thanks. That one I have just been playing around with. Supposedly Salvinos JR will be doing the Superbird. If so I will be buying one.
Gonna have some fun in 2025!😊
Yes. Thats for sure.
That resin Corvette looks cool
I think so too!
Lots of cool kits / ideas! I'm sure whatever you get to / decide to do will be awesome. Some good candidates for the Zombie group build.
Thank you!

(my family had a '66 Chrysler 300 in a color very close to that Impala pictured on the box)
Very cool. I have between 30-40 kits in various stages but it’s hard to build one when you want to build another. We all suffer this dilemma.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler put kit numbers in a hat, and draw one! lol
jo-han superbird is one i have. the molding leaves something to desire....
Yes it does. Takes a bit of clean up on mine. I have two of them.
I'm lucky enough to have a mint jo Han Sox and Martin Superbird kit I got years ago plus that old Revell kit of the Baldwin Motion Dragonsnake 427 drag Cobra

Nice...thx
You’re welcome!
I have the '69 Corvair in my stash. Picked it up the last time it was re issued.
Awesome.
I'm looking for one of those 65 corvair kits. I want to do a complete Chevrolet line build for birth year this year and that is the only one I'm missing. Cool kit
It took me many years to find this one. Your best bet is eBay as they pop up from time to time. I was not in a hurry and finally found this one.
You should make it as a mod top
Which car are you talking about? The 68 Coronet RT?
Yes
Can't wait to see and follow along with each project. What is the link for the demon challenger trans kit?

@TheMuscleCarModeler thank You Raoul. You're a wealth of knowledge.

Where did you get those resins parts from?
I have 4 projects in this batch with resin parts. Which project are you referring to?
How long did it take to get the parts for the demon? It’s lookin great👍👍
Ordered and paid for the interiors on 12/4 and arrived 12/24. Body kits were ordered 9/16 and arrived 10/5. So pretty much 3 weeks from Germany.
I still have that thumbnail Superbird, unbuilt. And the original '68 Coronet with the trailer.
Very cool.
When ? When are you going to build the 74 GTO ???? 🤔
I’m in no hurry on that one as Kevin keeps saying that he may reissue it. As much as I want to build it. It’s a way better kit.
@ that’s great to know. I just bought the last kit I could find at Model Roundup and it was the last one they had!
Now i don't feel guilty about my stash of unfinished projects..lol
We all have them!
i built one with the same kits
Which one are you talking about?
13 year delay on a model??? Guys build real hot rods faster than that 😂😂😂
Took me 11 years to build our Chevelle after I took it off the road. That delayed a few models then. Currently been slowly working the body of a 64 VW bug and helping my dad with his 58 Thunderbird.
