There is an outdoor rest area halfway from el chalten to laguana de los tres. I have seen people use it as a restroom. On the way to Laguana de los tres, there is a restroom in the Pointcenot Camp site. It is not very clean during the summer season as there are too many hikers. Other than that, people just hit the bushes.
