    Great tip man! I recently bought some nets that fold up for kayak fishing and they came with the cord mesh. The first time I took them out fishing, the hooks would get stuck and take upwards of 15 minutes to extract. I'm going to try this hack this weekend. SUGGESTION: some mesh can be taken off nets. If you dip the mesh off the net frame, it'll keep the frame cleaner. Cheers and keep sharing any other ideas you might have!

    Thanks for the demonstration! We've got a new law here In Hamburg/Germany, so fishers need rubbered nets. And i don't want to throw away my 5 unrubbered ones ;-)

      Great! Yeah, it has made my net a lot better as it used to get tangled up. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Hi Jaime, I did this too following your instructions as best I could. I thought I used a heavy duty plastic bag with a football in it to keep the shape but when I removed the bag several hours later a lot of it ripped and stayed behind. Do you have any suggestions for separating plastic bag material from the plastidip?

      @jaimeastin  8 місяців тому +1

      Probably some type of oil or something in the bag to help it not stick to the bag as well. Even if you just take some Vaseline and kind of put it in the bag and rub the back together so I can get extremely oily. I don't remember if Maya came out perfect, I had to do a little cleanup on the net, but I just use that net a few weeks ago out of my float tube and it's still rocks.

    How did it hold up? Did you find that any of the plastic pealed off like plastidip usually does after a while?

      It held up for me. More importantly, it kept tangles from happing

    @0:38 You have to hate when the breeze messes up with the wind ✊🏾 However, this is a great idea for a project, thanks for the video.

    Very cool idea. You should have used a brush for the top of the net and plasti dip the entire thing.

    Brother, all you needed to do Let's do a UA-cam search on replacing your fly fishing net webbing. From about $19 to $18 To $14, comma you could replace that net with a nice rubber eyes net and you would have learned something in the process and not made such a mess. I would have sent you some links, But there are so many of them. How much money did you spend How much money did you spend On that rubber eyes junk? Then you had to deal with the mess along the frame. Although it is not an exact science, You could have done better.

      Brother, you wasted your time writing this comment. ITs such an old video.. I have SO MANY rubberized nets. I did this one nice because I already had the plastidip and a net... Why pay for a new net when I could just buy a NEW COMPLETE NET FOR THAT PRICE?
      Thing is... Ugly as it is, IT WORKED just fine and I used it with my float tube setup just fine. I do not still have the net because I accidentally left it at the lake if I remember correctly, but Thats whey I have a lot. Shiz-nit happens and I this worked out in a bind. Use if you can or want, or move on...
      Thanks for the view and time to write the comment. I am sure it helped the algorithm.
