I would say no - when there are problems to solve ( and there will be problems) it is much easier and less stressful and less expensive to be in the same town as your property investment when solving problems of any kind. Especially for a beginner.

You can also assist with helping new medical staff or teachers in the city looking for accommodation but not ready to commit to anything if they are new to the city.
