- The Lord and I enjoyed a little beekeeping this morning, they were good girls even with our "Cloudy Day" morning. Praise God. :-) I Pray you all have a Blessed Lords Day...
Getting her loaded up and the kinks worked out. Its going to be an awesome hive. Blessed Days DC. 🐝🐝🐝
We shall see, I think it'll do what I need it to. Thanks for stopping by Noah.
I hope you had a blessed day also.
I had a Wonderful day thank you Russell. Blessed Days my friend...
The bees are very busy, no rest on Sundays for you☺
In some ways Beekeeping is my rest, I don't generally do the heavy big stuff on Sundays.
Lords Day light beekeeping is one of my favorite places to hang out with Him. The World just kind of fades away and it's just me and the bees, then I look and see The Lords Hand Everywhere. I haven't found a more Peaceful Place that I Find Him, then in His Creation. I Love going to Church and Fellowship but I see the Lords Presence All around. Where the Lord Resides, Peace, Love and Blessing Abound. But the Greatest of these is Love, it all starts with His Love.😁Blessed Lords Day to you Anne...
sorry for the slow editing I wanted to be sure I didn't have typo's. I make lots of typo's most of the time.😁
@@dcsblessedbees I do too dont worry☺
Disclaimer: I'm of the mind set one LLH one colony.
How do you remove a colony when it needs to be removed from one of the Nucs in a multiple Nuc LLH?
Inspection that's what I need to do!
Do you adjust your entrance size based on colony strength?
That LLH lid looks heavy. I've switched from piano hinge to door hinges on my LLHs. It's cheaper buying two door hinges versus a 4 ft piano hinge. Besides I have door hinges left over from old doors that I removed when updating the house.
This is a repurposed long hive that I was given and then I used scrap material to make the lid. Yes it is heavy if I was to build one I would do it a bit differently. I think Harris used ruff cut lumber when he built the box.😂
As to how do I remove a colony, this isn't mean for long term use it's just for mating nucs and possible queen banking over the Winter. I hand not planned on it being a full time use basically all I wanted was a larger timing box, also all of the dividers are removable.
