You awoke a memory I didn’t know I had. I had completely forgotten about this game. I also only had the demo version so I finally get to see the full game over a decade later 😅 as soon as I saw the fish in the thumbnail the memory partially awoke. I knew I recognised that fish from some game I played but couldn’t remember what until I watched the video
I used to see my parents play this when I was in elementary school, I think I played it some myself as well, but im not sure. The aliens showing up was always harrowing as a kid, though, lol. I remember being especially disturbed by the pink one you have to overfeed. Ironically, I really loved the Carnavore Fish.
I was OBSESSED with this game, one of the funniest things was when you'd drop a food pellet and the guppies would swim above it flipping back and forth but couldn't go down fast enough to catch it lmao

There's a new game like this called Fishlets. You should try it. Same sorta thing. You progress through tanks, beat the enemies, earn money, buy more fish and critters to help. Except it's a little more realistic, where the enemies are things that actually affect fish irl. And there's a different mode too where your goal is to breed rare colours and earn money to unlock all fish.
This was my entire childhood lol. I still play it every now and then. I grew up in the 20’s and during mainly modern computers but we played in the basement on one of them BULK BLOCK COMPUTERS! The fat alien has always been my favorite XD

My dad would get hundreds of cracked games ranging from those gem matching games, finding items in a cluttered scenes, peggle type games and this was my favorite along with PvZ. That tank 1 music just sent back waves of memory and nostalgia...
As a child I was so dumb I couldn’t get past the first tank because I couldn’t figure out how to feed the carnivores. Now I redownloaded it and got the gold trophy after beating all challenge modes multiple times each, alongside the full adventure mode thrice. The virtual tank is also full of every kind of fish available for purchase including the 5 pre-named ones. I have finally redeemed myself and taken back my dignity.

I love this game so much, definitely one of my childhood favorites. Getting to see and beat the final boss the first time was such a surreal and awesome experience.
