I was waiting for your opinion on the design of the newer part of the mall "Here's how over the top this is, I mean it's cool, but I wonder what we'll think about it in 10 year though, right?" I laughed way to hard at this 😂, Good video man!
I used to go here all the time before moving to Korea. I’m gonna be heading back to WA in maybe 8-6 months so it’s always nice to see what’s changed, thanks!
What a fantastic tour of the building! I am definitely considering to go to Southcenter Mall in early July and I am going to take a peek of the Sears, hopefully it will continue thriving next month!
Wow I didn’t know you had your own channel. I was so happy to see you post dead mall videos. It’s my favorite genre on youtube and i’d love it if you kept posting more of them. Keep up the great work you’re the best!
Thanks, but to be fair, I'm just the narrator on JCS, I don't write any of the content that I read there. I'm quite glad to be a part of the project though.
Can't wait for another crime video! You are so talented! Whenever I come across other footage of interrogations the comment section is full saying "JCS should be covering this!" Ran into it 3 times across 3 different videos just today.
@@kizzume I would say you are very knowledgeable when it comes to interrogation techniques. I know you say you're just reading your script but I am here to give credit where credit is due :) I learned so much from you. Thank you for what you do.
like everyone else, i found you through JCS but have stayed for your likable personality and content/perspective. your main channel uploads are very interesting and im looking forward to watching them all :-) thank you for uploading!
Sears was my favorite place to shop. I bought a Kenmore BBQ That the burners were cast iron. It was $500 and lasted me 10 years. Sears warrantied the burners because of a lifetime warranty without question. It still runs amazing today. I bought it in 2003. Works like new.
What a wholesome video, the change of content is drastic but this is just soothing and its fun to watch the movement. I'm attempting to guess your height.
Crazy coincidence. I was just watching footage of an abandoned mall in Cincinnati with one video game store inside. Then saw JCS uploaded a new video..now here. Always found the ambiance of old malls attractive. There’s actually a genre of UA-cam where you can hear old classic songs being played in abandoned malls.
This is great. One of the best narrators this side of Morgan Freeman is in my neck of the woods. I had just left southcenter an hour or so before that shooting happened a couple of months ago.
I actually use to like Sears when it was opened here in Chattanooga. The brand was not really a contractor brand but they were known for decent quality back in the day and you could always take back a tool that broke. Cash only? haha, an indicator of the reality of Sears :)
In 1996, I worked at Mervyns which was an anchor store before it closed. Didn’t there used to be a big water fountain in the center of the mall that ppl used to toss coins into it? The fountain used to be our meeting place.
Apologies if you've had this question many times before, but how do you record these videos? Is there a kind of hat-mount thing? Do you use your phone or a professional camera? I love how smooth the recordings are! Really enjoying all your videos. :)
Omg. I literally fall to sleep to your voice every night watching JCS videos.. my girlfriend absolutely hates your voice now because you're literally the last thing we hear before we sleep. Haha
I didn't realise they have Westfield's in America. It's an Australian company. I know there are a few in England, and as Australian going into a Westfield's in England (most shopping centres in Australia are Westfield's) it was strange to see the same decor. As in tiles and furniture. And I can tell you it is the same in America.
Fascinating, I didn't know that. I guess in 2014, they split up, and the Australian side is Scentre Group. Interesting that they still use the same tiles and furniture as the American side.
@@kizzume and I didn't know about the split. Funnily enough, I wrote this comment earlier on in the video, later on I noticed the tiles were very different. But that front entrance structure and that foyer area where the cinema is, with all the wood, looks very much like modern Westfield centres here.
As a Canadian, I feel like I've been cheated on with that open Sears. Not that I have any particularly fond memories; mostly me just being very young and pestering my mom to leave, but it's a memory nonetheless. I'm curious, what kind of rig do you have to film this? It's surprisingly smooth and resolute. Very oddly feel-good video!
Jeff Bezos is actually going to go to outer space in the near future. There's an online petition going around with over 6000 signatures on it for him to not be allowed to return to Earth 🌎
Hi Kizzume. This may be off topic, but I saw a video of a lawyer getting arrested in court. Turns out, he is not a lawyer at all, but someone who claims to be a "sovereign citizen". What exactly is a soverein citizen?
A... Sears... that's... open!??? Huh? I thought K-Mart and Sears went out of business years ago? Another mall still alive... for now. So... no Hot Wheels or Hot Wheels yet? lol 😉

The idea that they only allow AMC Theater goers to experience those wood extensions is criminal.
