    I'm excited for this tutorial. I have a big box of Sola flowers I bought to make my own bridal bouquets and centerpieces. I saw an add for them and we are doing an outdoors feeling and wood flowers were perfect. I'm a little overwhelmed once I opened my order!

      It can be a bit overwhelming at first but you got this! Next week I will be dyeing all the flowers and getting the greenery all ready. We have a decent growing collection of tutorials if you want to check a few out before the next episode 😍

    You should consider putting this and the follow-up videos into a playlist on your channel to make it easier to go from one to another. :) I always love it when UA-camrs make it easier to find their work!

    Super excited to watch these videos! I ordered 200 flowers from your Esty page and going to order more from your actual site in the near future. Working on my wedding stock pile before me and my girls get crafty and making our bouquets and center pieces with them! These videos will come in handy for us! Im too having a hard time with greenery. My colors are maroon and yellow, mostly sun flowers and daisies and i bought the wild flower bundle to mix in. Going to throw in some babys breath but have no idea what else.

      Thank you so much for your order! If you arent a member yet we have a free group page on facebook (facebook.com/groups/Ohyourelovely/) that might be a great place to ask for greenery suggestions. You can also message us with inspiration bouquet pictures and I can help you figure out if I am noticing a pattern of greenery that you are loving with your color combo. I really hope you love the series!

    Amazing! I ordered over 200 sola flowers to work with for my own wedding so I’d love to follow this. I heard you mention in your video about a broom attaching to a bouquet. It would be awesome to see that since I’d like to do something similar for my bridesmaids.

      I am so excited for you! Here is another tutorial where I showed how to use a broom to cover the stems: ua-cam.com/video/fezyz-odSuM/v-deo.html

    My daughter and I are going to make her flowers. I’ve bought lots of flowers, just struggling with using the greenery. I’m afraid to use anything but preserved, I’d love to hear your comments on how to choose greenery. You are awesome and the reason we decided to try to do this! Can’t wait to watch this series!

      You are so sweet! Can't wait for you to see the whole series I hope you find it helpful! I typically try and pick greenery in the same color family (The two color stories I see the most with greenery is greenery that has a blue-ish undertone or greenery with a yellow undertone) And then things that have different textures or styles of leaves so a few that are bigger leaves a few that are smaller some that are bit tight and straight others that tend to spread open more etc to give a little interest. I tend to normally have a few different types of greenery and pull it all together.

    I have ordered Sola flowers for my wedding. Looking forward to taking this step by step right alongside you. I have loved all of your videos, they make me feel like doing my own flowers for my wedding is extremely possible. This series is going to make me even more excited! Looking forward to your next video, I just want advice to make sure I have enough flowers for everything including a simple table decoration. For a traditional wedding, how many flowers would you recommend?

      I am so glad you are loving the tutorials! It's tough to give an answer on your question since there are a lot of factors that go into it. For this wedding, I am doing a bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, and 2 boutonnieres and I dyed 90 loose flowers plus the 4 hydrangeas. You can always feel free to message our FB page (facebook.com/ohyourelovelyofficial) with some inspo pictures of your centerpieces and we might be able to help get a better estimate for you of flowers needed.

    I am so excited to soon order my flowers to do my own sola wood flowers for my wedding! I’d love to know a good range of flowers I should get. I have 8 bridesmaids and will need roughly 20 boutonnières and 8 corsages. Plus my bouquet. Crazy! I know haha. I’ve been looking at some of my favorite flowers and was just curious about how many I should buy to cover all of the important people in my wedding. Thanks!

    • @OhYoureLovely
      @OhYoureLovely  4 роки тому

      Olivia typically in a bridal bouquet I have around 30-40 flowers depending on the size/style (this is a bit more heavy on the flowers style), bridesmaids probably around 20-30 flowers. Boutonnieres usually 2-2.5" flowers and normally just one flower maybe two but the second would be a mini or 1" flower. the corsages will really depend on the mechanics again for those I would stick with the biggest flowers being 2.5". I hope that helps a little bit. Its ok to order a bit more than you need so you can use some of those flowers as testers for dye and getting a feel for working with the flowers.

    Can’t really do it in a video, but I can’t seem to find a bridal order form that I like 😢. Mine is currently 4 pages front and back and I don’t like it.

      Melinda, if you are part of our facebook group you might be able to find a few others that will share their order form.
