The Thing in particular has always held a special place in my heart. The FF was my Dad's intro to comics in the early 70's, and the Thing was my intro to action figures and comics in the early-mid 2000's, right around when Toybiz began releasing Marvel Legends. I grew up playing with Toybiz, and despite my parent's rule (take care of your toys because these are nice and we can't buy you new ones all the time), my Dad always made the exception for the Thing. I had the Thunder Smash Toybiz Thing, then the Legendary Riders Thing, then the massive Marvel Select Thing, and finally my Dad bought me the Walgreens exclusive Thing (I hadn't had a Thing figure for many years just like you and my Dad was still happy to buy one for me at 16 y/o). When the Retro card Thing was released, I bought it for my Dad as a Christmas gift because the Thing was his favorite, and when I gave it to him he told me he never had a Thing figure and that this was his favorite Christmas gift ever. In that moment I realized, my Dad came from a time when toys weren't that great, and a Thing figure would've been hard to come by, so he never had the one toy he always wanted, but he bought those toys for me any chance he could. My Dad made sure I always had the top of the line Thing action figure at the time because he never had one and on that Christmas day I had finally returned the favor. I also bought him a big stack of 70's FF comics from my local comic shop, so along with the figure my Dad felt like a kid in the 70's all over again. He even said "I remember a lot of these and I lost them so long ago, how'd you manage to find these ones?" (I definitely got lucky and made some pretty educated guesses as to what he'd like). I've just ordered the Mezco Thing by itself from ebay, I would've got the set only for the Thing anyways but too much money and I figured I'd be able to find the Thing for a decent price after it released. When I showed my Dad he was over the moon with how cool figures have gotten this day and age. Your review got me excited for my new toy on it's way and brought back some fond memories when you said "I don't think I've had a Thing figure since the Toybiz days". Those were my action figure glory days and I was only a kid. Keep up the great videos.
I typically wouldn’t spend $400 on a fantastic four set but seeing the amount of accessories that each character comes with and the amount of things you can do with these 4 including poses and even comes with a robot?!!, definitely worth $400 and mine hasn’t even came in yet!
Wow! Awesome set! Definitely worth it for Fantastic Four fans.
I might have to pick up that Mr. Fantastic my itself. The rest of the group seems to be easy and cheap to find in Marvel Legend form fully powered up.
Great review but those Sue Storm heads look awful in my opinion.
The “communicator” is the ultimate nullifier from the galactus storyline
I’m a huge FF fan but have been on the fence after seeing a few things I didn’t care for in this set, mainly the Sue Storm body. But your attention to detail and enthusiasm has been the push I needed to grab these. I thank you Anthony, my wallet does not!

Anthony, ! The possibilities for poseing and photography is staggering. The female buck being so limited is my main critique. The costumes being old school works for me. The sculpts and paint apps are masterful. I had forgotten about Herbie!(almost)😉 Pretty good value for that collector price. I have an old Marvel Select Doctor Doom(throne room set)I am curious to see how it complements my FF crew. I plan on using the ML Psycho-man with the Mezco multicolored heads pack to simulate his emotions manipulation technology. 'Not sure if the Thing buck neck peg is compatible with the skulls. I will see. Exelcior!✌️
Just a heads Up on The Thing. You can break the peg that goes from shoulder into the body. Always move the arm from the very top where the Shoulder meets the body. Trying to move the arm from below that point will cause stress on the peg

What amused me was how you didn’t know the item that came with Reed Richards & said you didn’t care & will never use it.
That item is ‘The Ultimate Nullifier’ probably the most powerful device that exists in the Marvel Universe.
Just seeing it in Reed’s hand makes Galactus turn tail & run away.
I can’t wait to recreate that scene & display Mezco Mr. Fantastic holding it up to the HasLab Galactus.
I will put on the skull face to make it appear Reed “Nullified” him ;)

Can't wait to get mine soon, they look great. Also, they have the parts, I hope they give us a DC Mr. Fantastic counterpart in Plastic Man or Elongated man or both! My only nitpick with Mezco's lately, PLEASE size the heads down a bit like with earlier figures.

Im not even a huge fantastic 4 fan but im tempted to drop on these and the Dr Doom.
Im enjoying my marvel select ff that cost a little more than one of these did and has great accessories too.For sure the select sue is better than the mezco ,a tie for reed as far as effect pieces while mezco wins for the thing and human torch .
ben looks way better then ML, or diamond selects.

Holy hell you were not kidding with the stand for Johnny. Read the instructions like 3x then watched your vid 4x. Found out I was pushing the detachable piece too far up his leg smh. Mezco...clearer instructions would be nice lol.
The set is nice no lie. Sue is the weakiest figure out the set. The body they use...ugh single joints galore. I heard they are trying to do a new female body. They desperately need to if true smh. Her sculpts are cool as shit though. All the sculpts for the figs are great actually. It is pricy but u get ALOT for what you pay for. Wait for discount? If this is anything like the Ghostbuster 4 pack...and the FF tin dwarfs that tin...I dont see much of a drop in price. If the set picks up popularity...yea good luck getting it for retail.

Mezco rarely does female figures. Its like they haven't cracked the code. But with Sue its like they did not give a shit. My Mezco Wonder Woman is way better bodywise then sue. There are alot of female figs Mezco collectors would want. Tangerine being probably on alot of people's top 5 lists. Hope Mezco is developing a new female body cause if Sue is an indication of what is to come...nooooo thank you. I'll stick with imports for my female characters.
