It wasnt exactly that, he said he wouldnt give up all his commitments to be the coach of nsw and thats what the job would require. He's one of the highest paid blokes in rugby league, I cant see him giving it all up for a pay cut and the pressure of coaching origin.

Denim I agree with all you have said about SofO in this vlog. Cam Murray should have started & played maximum minutes until needed rest, yes he is Australia's premium lock. Yes Yeo taking some strides then passing on without his threat of a straight on line run has not worked all series. And yes big Tino underrated by some this series was awesome. My pick is Geoff Toovey for new Blues coach, I'm with some others who say he is the toughest league player we have seen pound for pound. I think there is a clear divide in the NSW camp, and I feel a certain group of players are more connected to their area than their state. It clearly works for them at club, but I think bringing in that Western Sydney culture doesn’t align with the other players or the fans. Whereas QLD all seem to be on the same page in camp and mix and mingle together. Therefore they need to appoint a coaching group who can bring everyone together and appeal not just to Sydney but to the State.

I'm certain the Bunker said, NSW lose their challenge but still get possession/ penalty), then Mitch Moses challenges,a little while later.
The refs have cause massed confusion even amongst themselves. A challenge is a challenge for the entire play checked not just what the captain says to look for. For example if a captain goes up to the ref and think theres been a 2 on one strip, the ref will say to the bunker to look for the 2 on 1 but if theres no 2 on 1 strip but in that same tackle there was high contact, theyll give the penalty to the challenging team and the challenge would be successful.

I would not have Freddy as Blues coach next year but he should still have a job with NSWRL doing his bike tours around the state and putting on camps for kids out in rural areas and helping with pathways development like he did under Loz. He is an absolute legend for doing that stuff and his efforts are probably better suited there than in coaching
A left field option for the nsw coach i have is dean pay, yes at the dogs he didnt have the greatest but he coached nsw u20’s in 2012-16 (won all series), was assistent coach for bellamey during 2012 winning season, and was assistant under ricky stuart, although he didnt get the wins, everyone was saying he installed that dogs of war mentality whilst coaching. Just a thought tho
People don’t talk about it enough but QLD 1-17 can cover many positions it wouldn’t matter if a back goes down they can cover it. They essentially have 3 hookers, a lot of fullbacks and centres and most forwards can cover an edge and middle. Fafita and nanai is also quick and skilful enough to cover centre!
I'm glad you guys are blowing out about how little time Martin and Murray get. Why don't they just pick Murray at 13. It's pretty clear to me that QLD can see exactly what Yeo is going to do. The second QLD try was created by a hard running 13 aiming right at a 6. NSW never play like that.
The chat about Cook at centre doesn’t seem to evaluate how it affected the whole teams attack. Qld stacked the side against Moses because they knew Cook wasn’t going to execute. Qld coaching was great at seeing the weaknesses to attack and how to allocate defenders. Freddy hamstrung this team and I feel sorry for the players

The only time I can recall where qld player got put out of position and didn’t perform was when AJ Brimson came off the bench and played in the middle.
I thought Freddy's use on the bench was terrible, as a broncos fan, seeing Hass out there for a full 60 minutes makes it a sad sight, knowing how he plays at the broncos, with the interchanges at roughly 30 mins through the first half, and then an explosive player with 15 mins left in the game. Does Freddy know how to use his players to their strengths? Hass, Cook, Murray??? Or has he just picked the core penrith side, and told the team, you know what to do, now play ball?
I think QLD team play for the team state and ditch ego etc etc. Some NSW players treat it like an all stars game with individual play and ego. Could be wrong.

The difference between the states is that QLD as a whole all drink the cool-aid. As a New South Welshman it pains me to say that the other side care more. They are fed the whole broadway performance by coaches/media and ex players alike. I wonder how many NSW players would rather win a premiership that an origin series?... Also the comment about QLD knowing who their next halfback would be and NSW running around trying to find a replacement is a little off. Surely that is because we have 4 pretty similarly skilled options, QLD know who their next is because of the lack of options. NSW lost series from game 1 selection - picking 3 injured players going into origin camps. There was too much disruption to the program and also caused imbalance to bench and rotation strategy.

Bothe of these players are in form and are in teams at the top of the Table. Doesn’t make sense to me. As for who to get to replace Freddie. I think the Morris twins would be perfect for the job. Both have big game experience in GF’s, Origins and tests. They are just as knowledgeable as Billy the old Kid and it’s a two for one deal. They would also bring a new culture to the team.

The idea of picking players and then fitting them into the 17 positions is just wrong. Each position is specialised in origin and your selections should reflect that. I'd pick Staggs or Graham at right centre over turbo any day. If turbo misses out, that's too bad. Better players have been kept out of origin sides.

The in front of the kicker rule has always been in the game as long as you let the catcher run 10 metres before making contact its fine, Teddys form in origin has dipped because we are trying to go around them too much and not through the middle with cook and teddy off the back of our forwards like in the past when we have been successful at origin level.

Qld coaching was great at seeing the weaknesses to attack and how to allocate defenders. Freddy hamstrung this team and I feel sorry for the players

I thought Freddy's use on the bench was terrible, as a broncos fan, seeing Hass out there for a full 60 minutes makes it a sad sight, knowing how he plays at the broncos, with the interchanges at roughly 30 mins through the first half, and then an explosive player with 15 mins left in the game. Does Freddy know how to use his players to their strengths? Hass, Cook, Murray??? Or has he just picked the core penrith side, and told the team, you know what to do, now play ball?

The difference between the states is that QLD as a whole all drink the cool-aid. As a New South Welshman it pains me to say that the other side care more. They are fed the whole broadway performance by coaches/media and ex players alike. I wonder how many NSW players would rather win a premiership that an origin series?... Also the comment about QLD knowing who their next halfback would be and NSW running around trying to find a replacement is a little off. Surely that is because we have 4 pretty similarly skilled options, QLD know who their next is because of the lack of options. NSW lost series from game 1 selection - picking 3 injured players going into origin camps. There was too much disruption to the program and also caused imbalance to bench and rotation strategy.

As for who to get to replace Freddie. I think the Morris twins would be perfect for the job. Both have big game experience in GF’s, Origins and tests. They are just as knowledgeable as Billy the old Kid and it’s a two for one deal. They would also bring a new culture to the team.

The idea of picking players and then fitting them into the 17 positions is just wrong. Each position is specialised in origin and your selections should reflect that. I'd pick Staggs or Graham at right centre over turbo any day. If turbo misses out, that's too bad. Better players have been kept out of origin sides.

The in front of the kicker rule has always been in the game as long as you let the catcher run 10 metres before making contact its fine, Teddys form in origin has dipped because we are trying to go around them too much and not through the middle with cook and teddy off the back of our forwards like in the past when we have been successful at origin level.

We are a small business unfortunately we can't make 10's of thousands of jumpers at one go which makes it cheaper to make. We make smaller amounts which makes it more expensive for us to make.
