The makeup light is on camera ready cosmetics which is also on afterpay. You can make 4 installments on the makeup light.
Love the comparisons! I also love that TML gives you an option to kind of build your own lighting system. You can get separate lights, mounts, etc. depending on your needs and can just start small (under $400) with the starter kit. I feel like most of my jobs I could just use the lighting panel and suction mount since I'm usually in a bathroom or near window/mirror.
You're seriously the best, Angie! Thank you so much for this video. I've been on the fence about lighting but this series of videos has really helped me put some things into perspective. And I love your honesty!
But now I'll have to do some thinking and researching...😁
Which light did you end up getting?
Not to take away from these 2 wonserful lights but i needed lighting and i found an awesome led light on amazon for $40 and it works fantastic for me right now! Budget friendly option, just add a tripod. Not as sleek but works.
Can you share a link for anyone interested?
Could you share the link for the light? TIA
You remind me of this quote: Be the change you want to see in the world ~ Mahatma Gandhi. Thank you, Angie! Xoxoxo
Such an amazing, thoughtful, helpful video!! ❤
I love my Glamcor Multi Media Extream. Thank you so much Angie.
Excellent advice. When I started doing makeup in 2006 no one (except high level celebrity artists/commercial shoots used makeup lights/fancy makeup chairs. Also, in the small spaces of NYC hotel rooms and photo studios, they're isn't room! They are great to have but they don't make you a good artist, that takes doing 100s and 1000s of faces . What new MUA should put money in first is a basic kit and marketing/social media to get yourself clients.
I don’t know how I’ve only just come across your channel but your videos are literally EVERYTHING I’ve been trying to find the answers to for far too long! ❤️
I’m glad!!! Thanks Georgia!!
I got lucky with my TML!!! I purchased the panels on a super sale for under $400 and purchased de accessories with my pro discount
Can I ask when the super sale was?
U r really an angle for guidance about all these stuff
Thank u soo much
I love your channel !!! Thank you for doing educational videos. That’s the one thing that makeup artist who create you tube videos lack.
Plus, I think either Nigel’s or Naimie’s (or both) offer a pro discount on TML. And Angie got a master kit with double everything. You can get a single/starter kit for like $300-$400. And TML UA-cam page says one panel is fine to do makeup with. I plan on getting a single panel first 🙂 Thanks Angie!!!
This is my first time watching your video because I was looking for reviews on the glamcor light...and I will say I am totally impressed and I love how unbiased your review is ..willl definitely watch more of your videos..thank you..
Thanks for watching!
Love love love my TML. It’s a game changer for sure!!
Thank you Angie for your videos! I Will take them un consideration when I'll be abble yo purchase my light! ❤️
Thank you for review I got this light and I absolutely love it 😍
You were very honest I appreciate this
Super informative video, thanks Angie! I was looking for reviews to help me make my decision, and your videos on each individual light plus this 'similarities and differences' definitely helped!
Hi Angie! I love your videos and find them SO useful.
I just moved to a different Country and had to start my whole business all over again and have been using this as a reset in the way I used to manage it.
It would be amazing if you could make a video on how to run the business part of the freelance Makeup life i.e budgeting, planning, utilities, taxes.
Not numbers just how to figure everything out. I hope that makes sense 😂
Hi Valentina. A lot of that type of info is going to be very specific to where anyone lives and what is happening economically which is why I haven’t discussed it. (It would also depend on the individual artist’s focus - bridal, film etc.) I’m Canadian so I only know how to operate my business in a way that complies with the Canadian tax system and the type of work I do. It would also be very difficult for me to teach people to budget and plan because I wouldn’t be able to do it in a way that would apply to all of my viewers. This is why I haven’t tackled this type of content yet. How a bridal artist starts a business would be completely different from someone trying to work in film, or trying to be completely freelance. If I can find a way to share some info that applies to everyone I definitely will. Finding someone to assist, or someone that can mentor you that is doing the type of work you want to do in your area is a great way to learn and get more info.
Another super informative video.thank you so very much.
I love my Tml lighting kit!
Amazing job Angie!! Have been waiting for this video :)
Thanks!!!
I keep seeing comments from other makeup artists on how glamcor customer service is horrible and they basically took TML idea.
TML is the best imo
I can only comment on the service that I have received from Glamcor and they have been fantastic. If you look hard enough there are complaints online about everything. As far as who stole what idea - this is not information I want to perpetuate here unless it is based on fact.
Thank you! You’re the best. So helpful
I miss your videos so much, Angie!
I love my glamcor. Thank you for this videos 🧑🏻
These*
I love my Glamcor too!
Thank you ❤
You are amazing! I think i'm gonna save for the Glamcore lighting system. I can't wait for future videos (especially the kit video). Would you please do an updated skin care bag video? I would love to see it!
One more thing - what’s the best way to take photos with using the light ? Both with a phone or professional camera to get the best pictures? Behind the light of in front of?
That would be completely dependant on what phone/camera you have. As long as the light is directed toward your client/model you can stand behind or in front of it. You will have to try to see what looks best in camera while you are shooting.
In my photography course, they said to be sure the lighting is behind the camera.
I may have missed this but when you use the make up light on location and work out of your car, what do you use or a power source?
I have a battery pack I can use or I plug into whatever generator is being used on set during the shoot.
Thank you ❤️🙏🏽
I love this video! Thanks for this angie. 😊💖 But I had problem with my glamcore didn’t work now. 😓☹️
The only problem with this review is that I didn’t hear you mention that the glamcore also has a table mounting accessory? The table clamp and the table stand? I purchased both as you mentioned previously in your last video. With these accessories it gives the glamcore as much advantages as the makeup light? No?
I mention the table stand and additional table mounting accessories at 4:28 in this video.
Thank you for all of your videos ... your videos are really unique ... I have a question about lipstick color. I never know how to match colors with the dress ... I mean colors not just a nude ... like a blue dress is a magenta lipstick better or red or a bright pink..... what about a pink dress that is already bright (like shocking pink 💗 - Barbie pink) which lipstick is best? Again for someone who doesn't like nudes .... Thank you very much for the deep educational content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think it has more to do with skin tone than matching to fabric personally. Once you know your client's undertone you can chose any colour lipstick with the same undertone and it will likely work on their skin - but at the end of the day it's really what will make your clients happy. If they want a bright red lipstick with a bright red lip - go for it!
Is there a strobe setting on the light? For some reason my light is flashing
No there isn’t, sounds like you are having some technical issues 😕
What about the electrical cord? IS there a cordless option for areas where there is no socket?
The Makeup Light has their own battery pack you can purchase, or you can find a battery back online to bring with you for times when there is no socket available.
@@AngieDiB Nothing for the Glamcor light?
With battery packs generally you can plug anything in to them, so you could plug the Glamcor plug into the TML battery pack or any other battery pack.
What are your thoughts on ring lights for MUAs? Thanks!
I used one many years ago for a long time, they are bulky to carry and only provide one direct source of light which for me personally does not work as well as the two lighting systems mentioned in this video.
@@AngieDiB i agree! Ive been using it and decided to sell it because the pics of my clients dont look as good as those who are not users of the ring light. Ill be saving up for dual flex lights like glamcor :) thanks for noticing!
Which one would you recommend
I recommend both - you have to choose what works for you based on what your lighting needs are and what your budget is.
So to be clear...you’re comparing a set of two key lights of TML and the Glamcor, correct? I started out with (and currently still only have) one TML panel, but my work suffers from only having one light source. But I’m stuck in a place of “do I spend more for a more hefty and more expensive TML lighting kit or just start over with a less expensive glamcor or a daylight balanced ring light?” The need for two light sources or a surrounding light source is one that not many MUAs expressly discuss. Anyway:..thanks for your super valuable content!!
Yes! I put a link to the TML kit that I purchased in the description of the video - it’s two key light panels.
Do you mean you need lighting from both sides if you are taking pictures of say a clients face? Because that’s what I am stuck on. My clients look better when the light is from all angles. Currently use a ringlight (neewer) it’s so bright washes everything out :/ im stuck between the latest glamcor and the makeuplight with the single panel. Please help! :(
All the PRO use the #LUMIY lightblade lamp SO BRIGHT FOR MAKEUP
Not all of them, I've never heard of it LOL I'll have to check those out!
@@AngieDiB yes =) they are crazy goood
