You need to have him learn the lick on the drums and then work it in creatively between the notes on the other instruments. Get him to tune those toms up all ridiculous like. For real though, you guys are all incredibly talented musicians and I really liked your most recent video on teaching people to dance to polyrhythms. Your video on white supremacy in music was also immensley helpful in my term paper last year on how whiteness was invented and expanded through cultural mediums like music.
I always think that the drumers always have the hardest times playing in bands like that. That's why I admire they so much, even being a guitarrist/bassist myself.
I just discovered you in a video about Virgil Donati, then noticed Mike Magini in a shared book and thought, Ah, Berklee, which I confirmed on the web. As a university-trained musician with three bachelors in different domains, including music, I was impressed with the technical and musical abilities. Keep doing it; you sound great, and yes, Virgil is one of my favorites, and I'm not even a drummer. I've added your UA-cam channel to an onboard list of channels to get the latest posts.
Woo this was fun! Thanks for having me.
Nice work man. Love it.
You rock. Your ghost note control is on another level.
Great album, now come back to Florida
the mad lad did it
he actually played in 4/4

Hi Adam!
finally a sungazer tune in 4/4
Jazz Postones 🤘
YES
My favorite thing about Shawn is that he never overplays but always keeps things fresh
The stank face in 4/4 is next level
He reminds me of the meshuggah lead vocalist when he does that
I see Shawn Crowder, I click, in 18/11
Not a drummer but the patina on those cymbals makes me happy.
So fun to not only watch Shawn improve but also hear the sungazer evolution over the last 10 years
Snare sounds GOOOOD
That shit make me wanna pee my pants

The best track I listened to in 2024. Just great !

The last 5 seconds was my favorite part 💣
One of the most creative and technically skilled drummers out there!
I love the album guys!
Man, you're really killing it. And I love your band aswell.
Cymbals and drum performace are excellent.
Bro is fckn atomic clock
God tier open handed
I'm inspired. I'm getting bongos. Best! 😎🍀
This is what I assume an anthropomorphic coffee bean would play for drums.
Shawn's cymbal bag must way a ton!
Omg. It's insane
That's a lot unison hits to put into the groove. That was so sick. Of course he's southpaw too.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love this... Wow
Love it
Rad dude!!
❤❤
I can hear Jack 3 enjoying this on 3:37
Sounds like the outter space level from Gunstar Heroes
👍💪👌
The last part made me go fokoffm8
Benny greb?
His gf must be happy in 17/16
Had to do a double take, looked like Jay Postones of Tesseract.
