Spoiler alert! JFK dies in 11/22/63
WHAT?!?!
I was in 8th grade music class when they told us.
Guess I’m not buying now. It’s a big book and you totally spoiled it!
NOOOOOO!!! Why does everyone have to spoil everything for me..😔😔
That is actually a spoiler as the book is about going back to try and stop the assassination
Glad I'm not alone! I am in 4 books right now too, and I kind of dig doing it that way.
The ending of 11/22/63 is so good! 🥲 Great job whittling down your TBR. You've made me so curious about that secret book!
I've always read like 4 to 5 books 📚 at a time. That's just how my mind works. Awesome there's bookgeeks like me lol 😂 Your one of my favorite Booktubers ❤
My mind could never keep up with that many books at once. I have to start one and finish it. You’re on master level!
I love having about 3 or 4 books on the go. I always want to be in the middle of one before I finish another.
I relate to this issue. As a mood reader, I often find myself reading 8+ books at a time. I'll jump from book to book, and friends often tell me I'm crazy for it. Currently, I'm in the middle of 11 books.
I'm the same way. 😂
11? Lmao how don’t you get confused. 😂
Relatable…
@@nenyeo6090 I treat chapters like episodes of tv. Gotta wait for the next chapter to release
FRICKIN' HELL, IT IS THE FRICKIN' GUY AGAIN!!!!! WITH ANOTHER STELLAR VIDEO!!! GO FRICKIN' GUY! HECK YEA
Ian, you have the BEST taste in books, I feel so inspired every time I watch you chomp down these chonkers
This video popped up at the perfect time because I'm currently reading 7 books at the same time. Which is way more than I usually read at one time. 😂😅
Wow I never done that I'm currently reading 3 books
@@angelaholmes8888 I think I got a bit overboard because they are on different platforms. A mix of physical copy, on kindle, and on my phone on Libby(audiobooks).😆I wouldn't recommend. I'm now trying to catch up and finish them because next month I have 2 big books for a buddy read and a book club book.😆
@@ndehadlsrI read physical books I'm comfortable doing that
@angelaholmes8888 My Kindle is for on-the-go and my phone(audiobooks) is for when I'm doing things and can only listen.
lol I don’t know how you all do it, but I always stay hard headed and determined to read one book at a time. It actually helps me to read more often because once I finish the current book I get to start a new one.
Haha, I'm the same, very rarely do I have 2 books going at the same time😂 But yeah, it pushes me to finish the current read faster.
@@lizc.214 lol nice I’m not alone. What are you currently reading?
@@borzica Billy Summers!
@@lizc.214 very nice it’s on my list this summer! I’m currently reading Neuromancer
Lovely timing, I needed something to watch to understand unwind🎉
So excited that you loved 11/22/63! I too rated it six stars and it's the best book I've read all year. I still think about George & Sadie and that ending made me cry. If you ever do a re read I do highly recommend listening to the audio while you follow along :)
Love the dramatic musical score!
I just finished Lovely War today and that PART had me STRESSING. I loved seeing your reactions because I reacted the same way 😂
The suspense music for final girls! Loved it!
always the best suprise to see you or you wife release a new video.
Man, I love your passion for reading! It’s infectious! I added you on Goodreads, and I read It based off your review/vlog. I am falling down a Mr. King rabbit hole now. And I binge watch all your videos. Keep up the amazing content my brother in Christ!
Literally wait all week for your videos! Currently mr Mercedes. You definitely made me more interested in king
Hi Ian! I just want to say that I've recently subscribed to your channel and I'm loving your videos! I love your attitude, your taste in books, the way you present yourself, it's really refreshing. I'm always excited when I see you've uploaded a new video! I'm Diana from Portugal, and I just wanted to say "hi" 😊
I watched u for a few weeks now and u got me back into reading can’t stop watching u love the vids
I love seeing your experience reading each stephen kings books I read my first book of his the outsider and I loved it now I'm on to sundog and so far I'm loving it too
I'm so glad I'm not alone in this I am a crazy mood reader so I also currently reading 3 books and 1 audio book. 😂😂
Sometimes when people wave in videos I can't help but wave back. I waved back at the beginning of this video
Yo this is the struggle of being a mood reader! Keeping several different storylines and multiple casts of characters in my head is like my 2nd job😂
The music paired with your reaction was perfect Ian. ☺️🤣😄
Love the humor in your video’s 🎉
Hi Ian! That’s the same way I felt about final girls by Riley sager! I want to read 11\22\63 and Lovely War they are both on my tbr. Loved this video! As always happy reading!
11/22/63 has the best first 100 pages to a book I have ever read. Fantastic book!
Love your vlogs man! Thanks for sharing your reads with us. Im starting Mcammons Matthew Corbett series soon!
Glad you rated 11/22/63 6 stars it's my favorite king book. I'm reading 4 books right now, too. I know your pain. I have a large tbr but struggle to pick my next book and end up reading an old favorite.
My favorite part of the Boy’s Life is the B Scifi Movie thread. So good!! Speaks the Nightbird was very good for me up until the ending chapters.
I almost always have an audiobook and a book on my kindle going, if not, it’s only because i just finished one of them and haven’t yet decided which to start 😂 and am scared of even trying more books at the same time however i think if they were all different genres it could work 😅 impressive what you did here
I loved lovely war!😊
Glad we can put this on to watch while we read our tbr list. Mine is currently at nineteen or twenty, but it’s slowly ticking down 😂
Awesome video I just started reading The Stand as one who watched the original cbs tv series back in the day I always wanted to read the book and I must say I have read Carrie it’s my fave Steven King is amazing at bringing characters to life I can’t explain his book suck you in😊 he’s amazing I want to read the Dome later!
I loooooooooove 11-22-63 ending messed me up lol
I cannot wait to hear your thoughts/see your reactions to Infinite Jest! I’m in the middle of 2 books now, I was reading The Heavenly Table by Donald Ray Pollock, but it was moving a little slow and I found myself not wanting to pick it up. So I started Needful Things by Stephen King and I’m almost 200 pages in after 2 days 😅 (I should add that I usually ONLY read one book at a time, so this is a little different for me lol)
Ooof I'm reading like 10+ books at a time and the audiobooks are falling by the wayside 😂 also the most recent Riley Sager was super good but my favorite is Home Before Dark
Awesome vlog 💯‼️ I have heard that the Riley Sager books are not for everyone and I am like you where it’s hard for me to dnf a book.
Speaks the Nightbird the first of the Mathew Corbett series I’ve just finished and reviewed it’s an amazing book I cannot wait to read on in this series and read boys life.
Sadly I know a few readers have been let down by Riley sager so I’m unsure whether to bother, I do love suspense thriller/ horror but when it’s jaw dropping, so that can wait I think.
Great video again Ian 😊
Your reactions when you read are beyond compare and feel so immersive! But if you don't mind sir, could you please stop adding books to my TBR? K, thanks lol 😂
While you were talking about Lovely war I got it for myself. Because I wanna know what happened there to make your face like that! Once it arrives I will find out! 😁
11/22/63 is one of the best books ever written in the past 100 years and I will die on this hill
same i'm currently reading 4 books hahah maybe this video is a sign i should calm down and focus on these
Love your vides
I always read one physical book at night, just a few chapters each night. Then during the day I alternate between two audiobooks. Ian if you think Stephen King is good wait until you read Robin Hobb!! Liveship Traders is beyond great!
You are my hero ! I can barley read 3 books at the same time 😂😂
I'm in the middle of too many books just because I need to be in the mood or motivated to read certain books. I am finally going to be finishing The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. Happy reading!
Your review makes me want to read 11/22/63
Love to see you reading different genres but when are you going to get to The Count of Monte Christo???
Both Final Girls and Boys Life are on my TBR 🤔
Read Station Eleven by emily st. John Mandel it's one of my 5 stars . I do recommend this if u like food for thought and discussion, pandemic reading and literary themes and I don't recommend this if u don't like some violence, swearing and nonlinear storytelling. I'd like to hear your thoughts/review. I read this in 1.2.21 genre literary fiction I also recommend this to your wife and get her thoughts/review on this book.
I love your videos so much they are great! I'm also a multiple book reader with a few too many half read, you're inspiring me to read them all but I started a new one only last night haha! Quick Question: when you hate a character in a book does it make you dislike the book any? Or do you think well done author you did your job well in getting me too despise them? haha I'm just and intrigued viewer 🤗
I want to read 11/22/63 but so thick lol😅. I just finished fairy tale by Stephen king and omg I loved it! It took me a few months but I had to read it and switch to audio. 🙃🙃 still loved it! I just got stored kings book of short stories you like it darker .
I’m reading I Found You by Lisa Jewell, listening to A Game of Fate by Scarlett St. Clair, reading Winter Born on Apple Books and trying to finish book 5 of GOT but who knows when I’ll finish that since it’s over 1000 pages 😂
I’m always in the middle of like 10 books at a time!
I’m new to Stephen King books, seems like you enjoy his writing a lot so I’d love a recommendation on which one of his books I should start next. I’m currently finishing ‘The Eyes of The Dragon’ I have Needful Things, The Gunslinger, The Tommyknockers, The Stand, The Dark Half, The Talisman, Rose Madder, From a Buick 8, and Bag of Bones. Let me know what you’d recommend next!
As much as I love The Stand, I would say jump in to Needful Things!
@@iangubeli Awesome, thank you!
11/22/63 is on my July TBR
Actually reading 11.22.63 ☺️
Have you read any HP Lovecraft? One of Stephen King’s inspirations for his horrors! I’ve read a few of his stories & they’re incredible! Loving all the content Ian!
11/22/63 is my favorite SK novel and I recommend it all the time! I read it like 10 years ago, and you're making me want to re-read it! You should check out the author Joe Hill (Stephen King's son). He is equally talented and a few of his stories have become movie/TV adaptations as well!
Ian: I'm reading five books at the same time it's getting out of hand
Me: only five? Adorable.
Infinite Jest huh...yikes!! Good luck with that one because you're going to need it. lol
I read 5 books at once all the time 🤣🤣
I think it’s time for a video on a guide to Stephen King 🥳
I'm in the middle of 2 but I can't bring myself to finish then before my new book gets delivered, because when I finish those 2 I don't have any more books to read ... and that's how I get stuck in my reading :(
I'm the same way. I can't finish one book without having at least 10 or so "on deck." 😊
I'm currently reading 7 books at once different days and genres.
Literally me in the middle of 4 books rn🥴 who am I😂
I always read multiple books at the same time 😅😂.
I'd say the biggest misconception about Stephen King is that he *only* writes horror. He's a pretty dab hand at other genres, as well.
Has Ian read project Hail Mary. I am finishing it tonight and am wanting to know his thoughts!
Gosh please read brandon sanderson mannnn
Day 1 of asking you to do a Series on (or add to your tbr if you haven’t read it yet) The Dresden Files…
On Lovely War- haven’t read it but you said Trial of Aphrodite where her Husband, Hephaestus, is Judge on her Infidelity? Uh yeah that’s a Guilty on all counts and a definite not read because I have no desire to read a book where Aphrodite tells an NTR story as a Defense for Infidelity lol…
Your dog is beautiful ❤️. What's it's name? 😊
Mishak is so cute. What kind of dog is he?
German Shepherd/Husky/Wolf!
Hey Ian. New to your channel. In the thumbnail I saw Atlas Shrugged and Infinite Jest but they weren’t mentioned in the video. I’m just curious about your thoughts.
I'm curious what you think of Stephen King's Fairytale?
Before your channel I owned zero Stephen King (gasp, I know) and now I own 3. Should I do The Stand, 11/22/63 or Billy Summers first?
I would start with the shortest of the three which is “Billy!” Then I would work my way up to “The Stand”
@@iangubeli Sounds like a plan! Thanks!
11/22/63 was the first stephen king book I read, thoroughly enjoyed it, I'm currently reading the dark tower now and will review it eventually. (shameless plug)
Can you read A suggestion of death
This is a constant struggle for me. I have five? books in progress right now. I have a problem.
Cover her face by PD James good mystery
5 books a week is bonkers hahah is it possible to learn this power?
I did that over the span of almost two weeks!
Alright so I’m new to reading. Why read multiple books at once? Doesn’t it take away from one another? I feel like I would never finish a single one 😅😅 does it work for yall??
Do you ever read books on an e-reader? or do you only enjoy physical books?
Physical and audio are the two methods I like to use!
Have you ever thought of writing a book yourself?
I have! I have been crafting a story in my head for nearly three years!
Which book do you like the most from Stephen King?
“IT”
@@iangubeli Thanks
We’re you singing Robin Hodood?
Yes🙈😂
@@iangubeli that's one of my faves!
You gonna finish 11/22/63 this year? Lol
I'm a one book at a time. But I can usually finish a book in 2-3 days. Use your time productively don't bother with Infinite Jest. I read 500 pages and that was a confusing slog.
I gotta disagree. Swan Song is magnitudes better than The Stand.
I'm afraid I'm not intelligent enough to read 11.22.63 I'll be honest.
