    Jon Batiste - who has played probably thousands of songs over the years - remembers a tune he played on once 9 years ago. That is seriously incredible!

      We remember most easily by emotional connections. How stark a memory it must be to be a teenager messing around in a studio and Harry Connick Jr. asks if you want to play something on the recording Connick's doing? Almost all my most vivid memories are from emotions I felt at the time that from which I still feel gravity waves.

      And both from New Orleans in NYC at the time. Must have left an impression.

    "Dig it daddy-o?"
    "Well you know I'm Louie Armstrong."
    Lol, this show has such great vibes.

      That response line from Colbert refs back to the intro, where Jon and SC were rapping over Colbert's cold-induced scratchy voice. Jon said he could understand everything Colbert was saying, though he sounded like an old time recording with scratchiness, like Louis Armstrong. So Colbert responded, Like with smoking a lot of pot?

    Sounds like a super positive show, that's nice

      I hope they can have something positive, uplifting, and not something that descends into drama, chaos, and bitchy cattiness. So sick of shows like The Talk and The View.

    I'd love to see some band spot light. Those guys are cool and Batiste is smooth as hell. My upload more jamming or them doing what they love. :)

      Shadow Heart -And people complain that Batiste laffs too loud? He gotta right to laff out loud, he never makes a mistake when he plays!

    There was a gas station in Slidell, La. that served 1# fresh shrimp po-boys on french bread with a brown paper lunch sack FULL of hand cut fries and a 32 oz. drink for $7.00. It was incredibly delicious. Miss that place, I haven't been back since Katrina. Wonder if it's still there?

    Bring Harry's show back!
    Tis like a bright "party" light in the swamp of darkness that is daytime & night-time television these days.

    Three southerners on screen at once? I thought I'd tuned in to Fox news for a second. Luckily, the repeated use of wit tipped me off that these weren't Trump Thumpers.

      When you've practiced a song so much (and you can imagine how much a professional has practiced over the years) it becomes natural not to look at your hands.

    Why is Harry looking better at 48 than at 38?

    • @tyseng9629

      Could be fountain of youth but highly unlikely. It's a prototypical hair club for men rescue job similar to Ben Affleck's.

    I'm pretty sure that the band started to play Harry's song "With Imagination" from the album 'Blue Light, Red Light' as they were going to commercial...too bad we never get to hear those full performances.

    Harry in "Bug." Eggstremely underrated movie. Ashley Judd was never better. Michael Shannon was scary good. And H.C. Jr. plays a bad bad man to perfection.

  • @luckyjasonfan
    @luckyjasonfan 8 років тому +1

    Now, why did Harry say he doesn't get deep into Lyrics!? 😒 When that is all his ass complained about on Idol!! 🤔
    Didn't seem like he was joking either!

    • @Navonodo
      @Navonodo 3 роки тому

      He was clearly joking. The lyrics for When The Saints Go Marching in don't make a whole lot of obvious sense.
