VT x BTS Cica Skincare Line Review | Beauty by Tellie

Full cica routine review: Cleansing Foam, Hydration Essence, Emulsion, Cream, Daily Soothing Mask, and Smoother. In this video, I talk about the benefits of Centella asiatica, show you guys the textures of the items, and give a review of each.

These items were sent by VT Cosmetics Korea. VT x BTS Cica line is inspired by how a tiger has been observed to roll around an herb garden to heal wounds. Centella asiatica has been widely used since ancient times in culinary, medicine, and cosmetic fields. Many current papers also back up the benefits of its application in skincare.
03:02 - VT Cica Mild Foam Cleanser
- Very thick, creamy, and sticky
- Does not tighten my cheeks (which is a typical foaming cleanser reaction)
- Scented

05:31 - VT Cica Hydration Essence
- Has an "occlusive" effect, meaning, it traps the watery moisture introduced by skin/toner
- Creates a "glass skin glow" that doesn't look like simple wetness from skincare

- Watery lotion texture, similar to Hada Labo Gokujyun Milk and Pyunkang Yul Moisture Serum
- Advertised "moisture level up" indeed feels like 2 levels of moisture: something that sinks in and something that settles on top.
- Takes a while to set but makes sunscreen application much easier to apply.

- "Dry-feeling" (as opposed to watery) gel is a good finisher for the wet-feeling routine.
- I feel it smoothens my face to the point that foundation becomes easier to apply.

- Contains alcohol and fragrance
- Head (hair) to toe product.
- Aloe alternative
- Facial moisturizer substitute, moisturizer pack, sleeping pack, hair shine, body moisturizer.
11:01 - VT Cica Daily Smoothing Mask
- 0.2mm thick sheet meant to lay perfectly atop the skin. (0.2mm is what's quoted in the advertisements. There may have been a translation issue because this feels more like 2mm)
- Is indeed, soothing.
- Tissue box container may not be as wasteful as regular, individual sheet mask wrappers. (I have no way to do the math on this.)
12:47 - VT Cica line Pros and Cons:
Pros: skincare superstars are backed up by science (Centella asiatica and hyaluronic acid,) various steps all have actives so you can customize your daily routine, and Cleanser + Smoother come in huge tubes.
Cons: alcohol (in the Smoother) and fragrance (in the whole line) are common irritants and do not make sense in a soothing routine.
