My Technical Builds and Technical Combos Showcase | Persona 5 Royal

- I wanted to show all of my Technical Builds as well as showcase all of the new Combos unlocked from Reading "Knowing the Heart" Book.
Confuse = Gun + Wind
Rage = Fire
Fear = Ice
Forget = Electric
Brainwash = Bless
Despair = Curse
Phys, Psy and Nuke do not have a special aliment tied them. Phys Technicals with Sleep, Dizzy, Freeze and Shock. Psy Technicals with all Psychological and Mental aliments so use whatever you want. Nuke Technicals with Sleep, Dizzy, Freeze, Shock and Burn. Wind technicals with Burn as well so keep that in mind.
Freeze is pretty busted as it will nullify any immunities to Phys and Gun that an enemy may have if its inflicted by the player. If its inflicted through a repelled Ice attack and it freezes them its Phys and Gun immunities will remain intact, I dont know why. Its weird.
One thing I failed to mention is that Nuke also does 25% increased technical damage to shocked, frozen and burning enemies.
Also you noticed how I got a critical hit against the frozen and shocked enemy instead of a technical? Phys and gun have a chance to do critical damage. Which also applies to enemies frozen and shocked. They do technical with those ailments. The game just decided to roll a critical instead.
Maybe I'll start tha game in the next month, I save the video for safety.

@@DanteDevil12 one other thing, use these as examples. You don’t have to exactly copy these builds or even use the specific personas here. Though I’d still advise getting them for their traits. Beware some require social links to be maxed.
Use whichever personas you want, make em your own. That’s the beauty of this game.
Whenever this game comes to PC and Series X I’ll do this video again with alternative personas. Because you can take these and fuse them into other personas and pass down the skills and traits. Have fun with it, I’m curious to know if you intend on making videos for it. If you do, avoid trying to no damage it, it’s not worth it. Just play it for fun.
Also universal law is kohryus trait passed down through a fusion path to the physical and gun personas shown. Which just shows the level of customization you’ve got here.

Nah, I only do no damage in yakuza or when I really like a title or when there's a trophy about it, but it's pretty uncommon.
but I always play "normally" without added challenges, except trophies.
Persona, yakuza 7 and turn based games aren't good games for no damage.
About the videos, 90 % of the time i always upload something about my games, there's a probabity.
@@DanteDevil12 Thats awesome. I wonder if you intend to a 100% walk through or something like that. I knew you wouldnt do No damage for a game like this. But There are other types of challenges you can do in this type of game. Unlike Yakuza like a dragon, you can remove people from your party and just have the protagonist go solo. You could do a joker only challenge, or beat the game only using Arsene. You could probably come up with something interesting. Since your into challenges, it could make for some interesting moments.
Sometimes I’m sad Raul can’t do severe Curse damage, but then I remember how his sleep never fails!

That bit of Freeze nullifies Phys and Gun immunity is honestly new, and sound busted to me. I know Shock is also really goods since it doesn't get cancelled by Technical Damage.
It is, however if they get frozen with a reflected attack then it doesn’t nullify the resistance for some reason. Not sure why. It’s weird.
Shocks also good. Problem is using a normal melee attack to do the technical damage will get you shocked. So be careful about that.
In my opinion I’d rather use shock to setup a Nuke Technical thanks to the 25% increased tech damage that nuke does to Frozen, shocked and burning enemies.
@@cwp24 wait, so assuming both move having the same base power, then a Technical from Nuke to Shock/Freeze/Burn is 25% stronger than from Phys/Wind then ? Honestly that is also new to me
@@cwp24 The part about reflected freeze attacks not nullifying the resistence got patched with the release of the PC version...because I distinctively remember that's how I found out this even is a thing. It was Abaddon using Mabufudyne on my party, freezing himself from Joker's repel and the very next move I saw the "technical" over his head with Makoto
Yup! I like this a lot ! Very similar to what I build. I just go for Ailment Hunter as a trait for affinities with high Technical Potential such as Psychic or Nuke.
Even better: you can use Magatsu Izanagi's exclusive trait Hollow Jester, basically a boosted Ailment Hunter to dish out even more damage. Wage War + Psycho Blast would be insane with it
@@hoanganphanle Indeed. Hollow Jester is basically an Ailment Hunter 2.0 and the Trait that I personally consider as the best offensively in the entire game.
It's just that no one outside of the Magatsus can have it so I can't really speak about smth that isn't universally accessible :)
@@icetmdabss3501 my only complaint is that M.Izanagi really doesn't have the skill slot to that one niche. To maximize Psycho Blast, you need 4 skill slots (Psycho Blast, Boost, Amp, Magic Ability), then another 3 slot to guarantee Wage War hitting consistently (Ailments Boost, Rage Boost, Wage War), giving you only one skill slot left, usually to cover his Nuke weakness. But since Rage also doubles the enemies' attack, you usually want Repel Phys on him too. I opted to swap out Magic Ability to get Repel Phys tho, because Hollow Jester is more than enough
@@hoanganphanle I Personally split them. I like having an offensive Persona with 1 or 2 skills and the rest will be dedicated to Passives, and having another Persona for specifically for Ailments. Typically I like having Wage War on a Persona with a Natural Rpl Phys like Arahabaki, Alilat, etc. I also like giving them Retaliating Body as a Trait to maximize the Repelled damage.

Freeze will nullify an enemies immunity to phys and gun. That’s honestly the most busted ailment especially for builds centering around phys, gun and crit builds.
I also made an all elemental Satanael build with Panta Rhei, diamond dust, thunder reign, inferno, psycho force and atomic flare with spell master, tyrants mind and pagan allure to nail the weaknesses on all of the tentacles during the maruki fight when he disables baton pass. Sadly I can’t show it thanks to the 3rd semester being blocked by HDCP.
what is the reasoning behind life aid and no charge on Yoshitsune, life aid just seems like a horrible vanilla version of victory cry to me, and i understand adding sleep to yoshitsune but why no charge then to follow up with after landing a technical since you can't switch personas after that

The whole point was to show off all of the technical combos you can use. I’m well aware that sleep and dizzy technicals everything.
Quick questions: assuming max Luck (or at the very least your Luck stat being higher than the opponent's), how often would an Ice skill with Ailments Boost and Freeze Boost inflict freeze ?
Pretty frequently. I’m recalling from memory as I no longer have the save as I’m doing a 100% run using multiple saves. So I can’t test that at the moment plus I’m playing Lost Judgment at the moment so it’ll be awhile until I can do more tests on that.
Against a Baphomet with a supposed Lu of 31, Freeze Boost + Ailment Boost with Max Lu would give a 87% Freeze Boost. 100% is also reachable with the addition of Ambiant Aid based on the Gloomy Child Trait.
The initial Success Rate of Bufu/Zio/Agi is ~50%-55%, with high Luck at least (and Higher Lu than the foe's). They're considered as Low Ailment Rate Skills by opposition to Medium Rate Skills (Lullaby and the likes ~70%) and High Rate Skills (Dormina/Phantom Show and the likes ~90%).
This rate drops significantly when Joker's Persona has a lower Lu than the foe and the 100% becomes unreachable even with Ailment Boost + X Boost + Ambiant Aid (at least for Physical Ailments)

@@hoanganphanle they are very efficient in this game so I would recommend it personally.
I'd also advise you to go for AoE versions like Mazio and Mabufu on a build like this. S-T skills are made useless by the existence of the battle tools like Molotov Cocktails, Stun Guns, Freeze Sprays, etc.

Ok I'm confused. How do you score technical hit with fire on enraged enemies? I thought only psychokinesis can deal technical dmg to enraged foes
Because rage + fire is a technical combo.
