    shouldn't the overall length of the drawing be cut to about 2/3 of the original drawing because it's viewed at a 30° angle?

    I was given orthographic views of a house from which to draft an isometric view from our professor. The house has a peak and I "cut out" the peak from the square space, but it still looks flat, or like the angled square with a line drawn through the middle. Help anyone? Thanks..

    • @therealprofjeff
      @therealprofjeff  9 років тому

      Akfloatable When you see the top view below the front view, that is a 'first angle projection'. This video is showing a 'third angle projection'.

    This guy not using a ruler makes me mad

    • @allendestine3406
      @allendestine3406 6 років тому +4

      As an architect or engineer....these pros must do stuff free hand without a ruler sometimes. They have to be quick sometimes and using a ruler will make your work neat but will also slow you down

    • @SansP3ur
      @SansP3ur 6 років тому +1

      Agreed. I actually like the way it looks. Francis D.K. Ching had an especially appealing look to his drawings because he typically freehanded his illustrations (among many others).
