This options trading strategy has huge profit potential and can be very cheap to implement. This could be a great strategy to use on stocks that you are bullish on. Love this strategy. Funny thing how I stumbled upon this a couple of years ago when I was learning how to trade options with a sim acc and didn't know how to set up iron condors.

Can you explain what early assignment means to this option? And how to deal with it if it happens.
You can implement the same strategy with index options (SPX, RUT) and there is no early assignment.
with debit/credit spreads set for a week out, would you still follow a stop loss? or if you have faith in the company just hold?

Can you demonstrate how to do this for a stock you are BEARISH on? I’m assuming you are selling and buying puts above price (ITM). If the Puts are above price..would you get assigned early??

but you have a 20% chance of actually making money on this option formation.. like... why would you ever do this instead of having the PUT credit spread make you money with a 80% chance of winning???? This honestly is a bad trade because if you were actually bullish then just collect the $7 of $50collateral which is a 14% return in a week which is absolutely tremendous. TBH this trade you are showing people is really only great in a hugely bull market but still it seems like you would have a harder time getting filled with this weird order formation vs normal liquidity of a PUT credit spread.
I click sell and put choose what I want then I click buy but it's not giving me the option to buy

How far out is this trade supposed to be 1week, 30 days out, or six months
Can you please do these strategies during market hours so we can see if it is filled and if so, at what price? I am unable to get these orders filled.
If you pick options with tight spreads and tweak your limits just a bit, these types of orders will fill.
@@pabst420, Yes I have done that but they won't get filled. I was able to get individual legs filled but the premiums were nowhere near the strategies and the payouts were far too low to take the risks.

Man personally I always sell before noon on expiration because I don't want to risk getting assigned on RH.

If you’re on Robinhood you need to have level 3 options trading enabled
Buying a long call option seems more attractive than this strategy. I guess the only thing I see is that the double bull spread gives you a larger zone to break even in exchange for capping your potential profit.

An iron fly you sell a put and a call at your target price, purchase, another, put and call for less money further out entering for a credit
The strategy in the video they’re selling a put spread and buying a call spread with the money
An iron fly you have to stay within the window of the target you created the video you wanted to go to the moon

@@LincolnOlson can’t you just use the close option on the spread I did it before does it work the same or is it better to do the opposite individually to close them ?
your gonna end up getting less back on the debit spread when you close it and end up paying back 2% of the 7$ premium you risked 100$ for. you cant roll on a stock with such a low price, if your looking for bull/bull play try spy or iwm.
They don't hanger that spread cuz it's a royal pain in the arse to close. Will always have to close at minimum price. And you will get discouraged and never play that option again.

I had a question about credit spreads. I was curious on spreads where you receive like 1000 in credit but the max P/(L) was like 600/(15). I found it confusing because i thought the max was the credit but i realized that the loss was the difference between strikes minus the premium. This was a 4 option leg for KO for reference. Why would the credit be larger than the max profit and what could go wrong?
The credit you receive in a credit spread is your max profit. The strike difference minus that credit is your max loss

Lmao, put credit spreads and call debit spreads have the same payoff. It really doesn’t make a difference which you use unless you have robinhood gold which allows you to use margin as collateral without interest. I think it would be interesting to combine a deep itm bull spread with an OTM call to create a payoff that is a few dollars profit between the short leg of the spread and the call while still having unlimited profit and a very unlikely loss.
This is a horrible strategy for Ford. This is assuming Ford will go up a good amount. Ford isn't a fast mover. Youd be better off with iron condor or iron fly
