This video makes me happy for many reasons; you still have some teen tiny plants just like me! And I just have to say WOW, look at those onions 💪🏼👩🏽🌾🥳 And of course the big news! I'm so happy for you! Big investment and plenty of reaping for years to come. In time there will be to happy gardeners digging in the ground ever learning 🥰🌻 Perhaps you could do some nesting at the allotment, make a ground deck with some shade for the pram 🤭🌻 Happy gardening and happy fathering ❤
@@tecmow4399 Early fall reflections, what went well, what went bad, will there be building projects and soil enrichments during winter? Will the pond come together or the gazebo the teas? How is the garden shed? Hope life treats you well, we had our first frost last night. My squash plants gave up, and this reminds me that I need to run out and cover my pumpkins!
Congratulations 🎉 Have you thought about planting soft fruit eg black currents red currents and summer and autumn raspberries Should tough it out with the mares tail and less maintenance Obviously got to watch out for birds when it’s ripening
Congratulations to you and Mama on your brand new hatchling! Re slugs...we need some slug recipes!! Considering how your plot began, I think you've done amazingly well. The soil fertility will improve. Get lots of cover croppage over winter to chop in next spring ! Take care and hope you can get some sleep!!
Congratulations Tecmow So pleased for you both. Now....back to the hot compost fridge.... I got mine filled 4 weeks ago. Temp is steady at 27°c. I was hoping it would get hotter....maybe it's this cold rainy weather. Any thoughts?
I love the shape and colour of Musquee de Provence! Looks like something Hard from Harry Potter would grow! I tried growing it a couple of years ago but it was in a big pot and planted too late so never went orange. A great joy to grow though. Big congratulations on your little one! Maybe he'll slave away on the allotment with you one day. Edit: The slugs are still harassing me too. They obliterated my direct sown pak choi.
Keep on at it. You're making great progress. I had a couple of green tomatoes that wouldn't ripen. They were just static. I pulled them off. Soon enough, you will be taking more and more produce home. That's the thing about planting something you have to complete the job. Pigeons and crows watch what you're planting, believe me laugh. Elaine 🌱
They watch closely 😆. They’ve come on quite a bit the last 10 days with the warm weather. Blushing now. I did think about pulling them off too 🤭. I’ve had quite a lot off the plot since the video, you’re absolutely right 😊 thanks for the encouragement 🫶
Hey, once he reaches 6months be sure he gets enough iron. Mine was anaemic and woke 7-9x per night until she was 3yo, and then finally one paediatrician had her iron tested instead of recommending "sleep training." Plain old vitamins reduced her wakings to 1-3x nightly. Moon and Rue is an excellent channel to follow, love her baby-led-weaning videos.
Thrilled for your wonderful news & totally agree with your decision about protecting the little one's privacy - he's your most precious thing 😍 Also... Can I suggest a barrier of sharp sand mixed with road salt, shovelled right along that weedy border with your neighbour. It might help with deterring the slugs from parading into your plot overnight, only to scurry back into the jungle of weeds at daylight 👍
I would opine that salt should be avoided in garden areas. There are methods that are less harmful to the soil than salt, especially since he has water flowing through the area that could spread it around. Beer traps would be just as effective with no harm to the surroundings.
@@CWorgen5732 Thanks for replying & normally I would agree with you.... But Look at the Devastation those buggers are causing - Mr. Tec Mow would need paddling pools full of beer to deal with that onslaught. Nope. I stand by my plan, but maybe it could be modified so that the slug killing mixture sits on a bed of impermeable ag fabric or slabs, something that forms a physical barrier. As I was then thinking about this (because I'm strangely invested) I also wondered about solar electric chicken netting, laid out on the ground next to the neighbouring plot; I've seen video of slugs deterred by copper wire hooked up to a battery.... Is tin foil electro conductive? How about rolls of that & a car battery? Or maybe just napalm 😎
Oh, youtube notifications are so horrible... i set you to "all," but wasn't notified of the last two before this. Well, I'll go watch them now. Congratulations on the addition to your family. Garden-wise, i saw where you started and can't believe how far along your garden has come. I battle slugs too... i tried putting out beer (they like the smell) but i probably should've researched a better container/trap because it didn't seem to help.

I definitely plan to make it family friendly in one area. His mum likes sitting in the evening sun down here already 😊

Pea sticks over and around the young plants will protect from pidgeon as if they can't get near them they won't eat them, also keeps cats off,..
Great idea! Thanks
