This garden is definitely one of the most stunning gardens on UA-cam. The clematis and hosta collections are amazing! I would like to watch your tour about your conifer and Japanese maple trees. Agree with another viewer that this is national treasure rather than a casual house garden. You are a beauty master.
Thank you for your encouraging comment. The garden is considered 'casual' because I have no ambition or time to attempt to 'design' a garden; too busy exploring elements I enjoy in a garden. My conifer and maple collections are somewhat 'neglected' in the last few years. I will try to take more images of them for the coming seasons.
@@irinadelang5728 Я рад, что голос Ваших строк услышал!!! Благодарю за это интернет, за тот дарованный мне свет от Высших и с радостью передаю Вам свой привет!
This is the most inspiring garden to me. Such creativity and imagination is used to create your planting schemes. True mastery of using foliage and evergreens to create satisfying vistas, both large and small, at every turn. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden!
I really enjoyed watching this video on a very rainy day here in Toronto. I appreciate that you identify all the plants. Lots of ideas for 2023 gardening season.
Each of your video I watched more than 10 times,!g Garden is beautiful designed. All the clematis are gorgeous ! looks like you have more than 20 variety of clematis. Glad see some "中文 "words in the video.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. It is very encouraging to know that other gardeners like my kind of garden. I have been obsessively adding more and more Clematis in the last few of years (likely more than 70 cultivars). They go vertical and require relatively small footprints in the diminishing availability of my garden space.
I am in awe. I had to stop the video at least a dozen times to look up plants and add to my list. I’m in SE Michigan. I got so much inspiration from your beautiful landscaping. It’s magical. I can’t imagine the time you must spend maintaining everything. Do you have deer issues? Can you identify the plant at 22:48 behind the green and white hosta that has foliage kind of like a pine tree (thread leaf looking dark green foliage that appears like an evergreen)? Thank you!
Thank you for your encouraging comment. I tried to minimize maintenance time relative to time spent playing with my plants. We had occasional deer visit years ago before development encroaching on us. I believe the plant you are interested in is a Japanese maple ACER palmatum 'Fairy Hair'.
@@gardencanadensis8412 Ahh I wondered - I recognized so many of the plants. I'm in SE Michigan - more or less the same climate. It's a beautiful garden, you must enjoy it very much.
Fabulous! It is more like a national treasure then a casual country garden!
Thanks

Wow. Just wow. May I ask what area of Canada you are in and how long has this garden been in the making? It's magnificent!
Thanks. We are in Southern Ontario near Toronto. The garden was started many years ago but more serious garden making started around 2008.
