Wonderful again another brilliant video, I have learned a new setting from you, I am currently working on the broad base prong setting. I will hav a go at this prong setting next. Thank you so much for sharing. Bravo!Ciao until your next video👍
You make it too easy! I know it's not that easy and you have to be talented to do it perfectly and the right tools to do it. It was definitely entertaining. Now I know how the ring is made. Thanks.
Very nice work. I just started lost wax casting. I don't much like working with wax so I have also started learning how to solder. Think I need a better torch though.
+scaffoal thank you so much!!!!!! your rings are awesome. i'm trying to learn to make rings by my own. and i learn so much from your videos. so thank you! by the way. i'm from chile south América.
What do you use to protect your hands in polish? I see you wearing gloves and something in the fingers, but of what material they are? Congratulations on the wonderful work!!
it depends on the upper part and on the client's needs, I always try that in the end everything is proportionate. Of course the thickness underneath and on the sides should not bother, usually I keep the lower thickness of 1.20 mm / 1.30 mm
F-n WoW ! You have the hands of a true artisan. I hope they don't divorce and that gorgeous ring doesn't find it's way to some pawn shop. Statistically a horrific tragedy
Nice making........ simple & short cut making........ same I'm gold & silver ring's making..........
I've never seen this technique used before to make the prong setting. It is very clever, I will try this. Thanks!

what is the tool you used to open the prongs is called ? i usually make them by hand :(
To close the prongs I use Hammer handpieces Faro
i meant when you marked the cross and hammered a knife like tool to open it @ 1m44s
I use a gravers for engraving and setting.
What's the jig you pull the wire through to make it square called? Also is this a round diamond and if so do you remember the carat? GREAT work btw!
ryan cox a rolling mill, and I believe he said 18ct white gold on another comment.

what's the future of jewellers? Is the industry doomed? don't wanna get into a dying industry where it all ends up computerised and mass produced
Until, people will want to stand out with personalized jewelry, there will be space for the craftsmen.
Tanks you.
