That's the kind of Walter Cronkite style new presenters and interviewers tried to emulate; everything treated with solemnity. There's quite a bit more to it than that. The logistics of immersion, the intelligence of memorization and retention. The transformation of delivery. Their posturing. Posing. And gazing. That which evokes emotion. There's real energy there, and real talent. And it's fairly rare. You can see it in exceptional actors even when they're off set. So why is it that you would minimize what an actor is and what they do? Is it because you can't do it yourself? If so, that's pretty small.

Cillian should be sending gifts to Emily Blunt and Robert Downey for all the campaigning they did from the beginning for over half a year. Spoke highly of him and his work literally everywhere they went, talked him up to people, talked about all he had to do for the role. The perfect Oscar campaign for him.
