Anybody know how lootbar works? Do they just gift you stellars using a currency where the prices are lower? Or do they have a partnership with hoyo or smth

But you may have noticed many people censor the UID, because, someone can send you stellars BUT if they refund the purchase, you will get the amount of stellar jades bought taken away. And if you have happened to use those stellars, you will go into negative stellar jades. If you don’t get enough stellar jades to refund the purchase in time, you get banned and lose your account.

If the chronicle wish banner is only limited characters, I would be more tempted. But including standard characters is a no for me.
Which is fucked cuz Yunli is "apparently" just a better Clara, if this is true then we know they are just willing to reskin standard characters and powercreep them.
And if they do this to Clara this early (this game is only 1 year old) then the other 5 star standard characters are basically fucked.
They’re already f*cked. Aventurine has replaced Gepard. Sparkle has with Bronya. Yunli now with Clara. HuoHuo with Bailu. Yanqing was left behind a long time ago.

If it doesn't carry over when you lose a 50/50, I'm not pulling on that banner. It's just pure awful to lose your guaranteed 5 star. But surely HSR will fix it, right? As their slogan goes, Genshin could never.
Also, I finally got my Firefly lightcone after doing some MoC with half built teams. Good times. Especially because I got it just before her banner ended.
The best they can do is to just link the pity between banners and that's it. I've seen people saying to not include any standard characters in there but...everything needs to be a gamble in gacha

I think the chronicled banner should just be an extra banner permanently, it last the whole patch and every patch it'll rotate 3-4 old characters in the banner, so that it'd be exciting for players to pick up units they missed out on.
Although it's quite tricky because it's going to need to make sense for solo rerun banners too like they cant be in the chronicle banner then next patch they have their own rerun which kinda defeats the purpose.
Not getting 4 stars is worst than you think because Eidolons and 4 star lc allows you to get more pulls in the end

Cunning tactic as it will tempt you to shell out money. Only utilize this if you can afford at least 180 pulls just like what the video mentioned.
Imo, you shouldn't pull in this banner at all, it sounds tempting but it's kind of scammy. You basically risk to waste 160 fates/wraps instead of just wasting 80 but be guaranteed on the normal banners.
You get like what....60 ish fates per patch? That means if you want to be sure you will get your desired 5 star, you need to farm for around 3-4 patches, which is a lot(like what? 4-5 months? HEEEEEEL NOOO). I would rather build pity(which is as worst as this banner) than pull and risk it.
This banner in Genshin is god awful and if it's the same here, then wtf are they cooking? At least save the pity and then it's great. But you are better off saving 80 wraps/fates but not be afraid if you win or lose the 50 50 last minute.
We get 75 wishes per patch in Genshin, I'd assume the same or more in hsr. This system is way better if you save, a lot of people don't like doing it I know, but it is objectively better if you do want an older unit. Imagine trying for BS and betting an extra Kafka eidolon for example. For throwing a couple wishes, don't bother.
@@rafael_lana Actually, my last 8 months of average (playing daily) calculated to about 95 pulls per month (the anniversary patch kinda skewed it a bit high tho) so you only really need two months to save 160 pulls
@@graceyan7544 yeah bc hsr has an end game mode filled with first time clear rewards every 2-3 patches too. OC saying it takes months for a premium unit is delusional. After pulling RM on the beginning of January, I saved everything for FF and got her E2, losing 2 out of the 3 50/50s. I'm already at 70 pulls again.

Fate Points resetting is a predatory monetization mechanic and setting the banner so short further pressures spending real money 💸
I agree with everything you said. They need to make all those changes plus remove standard banner characters from the 50/50 pool. Or let you at least pick what standard unit would be in the pool.
Removing standards and/or giving you a choice on them would be literally the opposite of losing a 50/50 because you won't really lose if you get something that you would like to get.
It would be interesting if there was like some kinda veto system where you can take one character off the list that you definitely dont want to pull

This banner is such a scam do not pull on it! It’s made for big whales/content creators. Just save your jades until your wanted 5star comes back because you’ll have a higher chance of getting them. If you want seele just save until she comes back. Not to mention because you don’t get 4stars you’re not getting ANYTHING from this banner if you don’t get an early or hit pity. It is NOT worth it

@@Tomovanlaanen well jeah on 1 hand it is and if you have a selection of like 3 Standart characters and 3 Limited ones the chance is still high you might end up with a limited 5* you dont own even if you lose your 50/50 the Problem is that the "Pity" doesnt carry over. So if you lose your 50/50 and then the Banner ends you can again lose your 50/50 on the next Banner. They really have to make this Type of Banner attractive to the Player even if your Pity doesnt carry over. Like the whole Banner is Limited Characters instead of 3:3 or lower the Hard Pity....etc. there is a reason why this type of Banner flopped hard in Genshin. It was released once and then never again.

Imma cope that perhaps that fate point can reset but the catch is you can exchange the fate point for an eidolon of any of your available character(even limited one but it is promoted on the chronicle wish) at least that way it wont seem to be much of a waste and if you know you cant reach pity you can exchange for it before reset.

Well, i currently have all my desired 5 star characters.
The only one I can think of that would be nice to have is Jingliu to complete my Cloud Quintet team.
And I don't particularly feel like pulling for Fu Xuan or Acheron.
I'll only be pulling Jiao Qiu next patch anyway, and skipping the next patch after. Thouvh I'm hoping Moze will be available to obtain in a event because my 4 star luck sucks.
Hopefully, it's the better version of the Chronicle Wish banner if HSR is going to implement one.
it's just like adding the spark gacha system where you summon only when you have enough gems for guaranteed ssr, which is good that we have more option now and it's even better because if we lose 50/50 we could still get other limited character instead of standard character. Well it's not recommended for those who can't save tho, some shit like building pity is not working here
Fanbase would be pissed af if you could lose 50/50 on this banner and not get a garauntee on the next banner. Either make this banner have no standard chars so losing 50/50 isn't so bad or make garauntee transfer over.
I have an idea, it’s a selective rate up banner for limited characterss, it’s a rerun banner but you can choose any character as long as they have already rerun ONCE (It shared the pity with limited banner) and only appear on the X.0 of a new version, and it lock the option you pick
With this, even older characters technically have a rerun if they wish to keep releasing 2 new 5* and only rerun 2 old 5* every version

I personally think we shouldn’t have individual rerun banners anymore and just have chronicled wish banner with multiple reruns and standard characters there, so that hoyo can debut in genshin hsr and zzz new five star characters with less worries and not fear for reruns being sometimes too messed up for some characters for example how eula and wriothesley should’ve had reruns a lot earlier but they just couldn’t squeeze themselves in between other important reruns
My desired characters that are already in the game are kafka black swan sparkle and aventurine from reruns. I also want the furry guy for my acheron from new character banners....I guess I will just get everyone early

This is a positive development for me because, for some reason, I only have two standard characters despite playing the game for a year now. I have acquired numerous limited characters as well because I enjoy pulling for fun. So, this could work for me. Maybe I could e2 and so on my limited characters?

I dont think the advantages are worth it at all. The fact pity doesn't carry over is awful. Even 4 tickets worth of pity can make a difference. You're actively losing jades warping in this banner.
If it ends up carrying over then that's ok, of not I'm not touching it.
The only thing that interests me is the chance of getting 2 limited 5 star characters in your 180 or less pulls

The only thing that would compel f2p or low spenders to pull on such a banner is making the 5 star thats chosen be GUARANTEED, REMEMBER that what your gonna be pulling for in the chronicle banner is NOT a new unit and the currency used takes away from being able to pull the CURRENT FEATURED UNIT. Unless the chosen 5 star is guaranteed it is NOT WORTH pulling unless you're a whale or dolphin++.
Hopefully no such banner coming to HSR, and I hope just like you said this is just a speculation and never become a reality

tbh i feel like it's a bad idea to do a chronicle wish banner at this point, i would wait two more entire loops of patches (4.0+) to do it... cause the point of the chronicle banner in genshin was to have a national theme, and have all the characters and weapons from the same region that have not had a rerun in ages (like albedo or eula) make a comeback so everybody could pull for them, in star rail we can still have a full year of reruns with 5* since we get 2 reruns per patch, and cycle through every single one of them without making it feels like its been ages since they were last available... idk if feels rushed tbh
plus! the fact they did this banner later in time, when some of the featured five stars may have not had a rerun in a very long time would bring shock value to their appearance and maybe make some of the downsides more overlookable as you'd have the argument of: "well, the banner kinda sucks but idk when i'll get a rerun for this particular character! might as well take the chances"
I think this fate piint thing is a smart business decision. I believe this banner is targeted more twords people who missed, or are commited to, a character and have been saving for them. There also has to be some kind of drawback for you getting to decide from a selection of characters, other than slightly higher pity

whether on not I pull depends on what units are in the banner, if its just a bunch of standard characters and old limiteds that I already skipped twice then I definitely won't

If they're planning to make the system exactly like Genshin it's not gonna work (and I feel like Hoyo knows this because Chronicled Wish hasn't appeared since version 3.5).
The obvious improvements are to make the banner last the entire patch (instead of 21 days) and let the fate point carry over so even if you lose, you can just chart the next 5-star you want (and I guess add only limited 5-star characters and light cones but that sounds like a big stretch imo). I definitely feel like they're more inclined to implement these improvements in Star Rail because of all the benefits and QoL we've been getting lately but we'll have to wait and see I suppose.
Also, for those asking, this banner is probably not going to appear for a while. I think the idea is definitely there, but don't expect this to come anytime soon (and if it s.tays the way it is right now, don't even bother pulling on it)

As someone who never builds pity i dont really see an issue, ill be spending 160 pulls to get the character i want and have a chance to get a copy of a limited charachter instead of a standart character.

The FOMO pressure is clear on this new banner system. Same with others, I probably won't be pulling and just wait for the eventual rerun.
If this new banner system does indeed work with limited tickets like the usual limited banners, and the pity limit isn't significantly lower, then it's pretty pointless.
HSR powercreep rate is rather steep, you're much better off pulling newer characters and waiting for whatever future characters to fill your roster. The only exceptions being Ruan Mei and arguably Fu Xuan (for now). Reruns are already pretty bait in my opinion and this new banner is basically a "choose your rerun".

It depends on how HSR handle 2nd rerun. If they continue to release 2 new characters and 2 rerun per patch, how about the banners of older characters? Then maybe this is the only chance we have to get them.
For me, I will save some jade (atleast for 2 pity just to be sure) and wait how will this turn out first. Right now, my roster is decent that I don't need to pull another character but adding Kafka or Silverwolf will be fantastic.
Im a traditional person, i will choose the limited banner inatead of chronicle. Unshared pity for the next patch is a real pain.
If the new banner's pity cannot carry on to the next, then they could cap the hard pity to half of what it's supposed to have, right? At least this way, it would distinct itself to Genshin's Chronicled Wish.
So in summary, pull on the limited banner only
The banner will be good only:
1 use standard pulls for it and not limited
2 guaranteed character or lightcone
3 if not guarantee cut the time you get the character in half or lower than 70 to have more chances to get ot and pity go over the next patch
4 maki it last all patch for more chances to get it
Me pulling on the chronicled banner with less than 20 pulls: It's all or nothing
As a F2P+ that's only been playing for 2 months, I desperately need more heavyweight 5-stars, since the few ones I got are support characters and my 4-star DPS characters simply can't keep up well enough. Almost got Firefly but lost my 50/50 (fork you Bailu). In this situation, I'd see this banner as an absolute win, because even if I lose, I could still get something good out of it. That said, for more advanced players that have more good 5-stars already, I don't think this would be worth it
Oof yeah I think I'll have to dodge this banner. It sounded so awesome but losing my Fate stack if I cant hit pity might make me drop the game ngl. That'd be so heartbreaking. They could just store the stack and make them a resourse like when you get duplicates and save it on my account and not to the banner. That's so wild.

If they want our money so badly, they should adopt the Destiny Summon system of Fate Grand Order, letting us choose which characters would be in that banner, though only available once a year.

Him and bailu are characters that I would trade in to get the jades back if HSR had a function like that, I just find them useless
I think it much better if this is just oike honkai impact 3 would be better to be a selected targeted 5* for characters. but for light cones for the this type of banner they can choose the light cone and just be like the regular 75 25 focusing on the selected lc apart from the time limited banner. idk cause genshin's wish system makes it complicated since we have difference here in hsr especially cthe light cone banner

I think not having a rates up 4-star is bad, because if you get a random 4 star that you don't have at E6, then you only get 8 Undying Starlight. But if you get one that you already have E6, you can get 20 instead. If you're a day 1 player (which I'm not) and have Asta at E6, and this banner had rates up for Asta, it would make reaching pity a bit easier every time you got Asta, since pulling her would refund you one pull, since the Star Rail Special Passes cost 20 Undying Starlight.
I get your point yeah but to be honest, for a day 1 player, not having rate up 4 stars is just really good because I have almost all the 4 stars at E6 so unless I pull a LC, I always get a pull back per ten pull
For end game is much better, cause you have a better chance on newer units you don't have E6 yet.

This banner, and with genshin's chronicles wish banner should've used the standard banner pulls.
You would at least be able to save up more, and it would actually have more of a use case down the line than whatever it is right now.
The fate points being the only major issue of this banner is a criminal level of understatements. The fate point system is so fricking bad, and never should've been done at all after the weapon banner in genshin. At least you don't need to get 2 fate points unlike the weapon banner. But yea

Not really excited, I mean what it cuts out 4 of the standard characters and gives you a 2/5 chance to get a limited character if you lose 50/50. Otherwise it’s a normal limited banner

I agree. They should really learn from Genshin’s mistake and just put that banner for the whole patch in case they don’t like the characters for the current patch. Win-win for them as players will still pull instead of save

If they make it like THAT, no one will win this situation only WHALES. Current system allows us freely to make pulls. No 4*? well we f%^&ed. for example I don't want to pull any of 5*J and want for 4* character, what should I do?
As someone who has spend a fair amount of money on the game, if pity doesn't carry over, it's gg for me and I will drop the game.
While I enjoy HSR, all my rl friends and relatives are not a fan of the game and is only playing it because of me as a conversation topic with me. The auto-combat system is what makes it manageable for them.

Lightcones should be 100%, and I'm not a fan of a reset.
Unless they changed it, which is not likely then just like in genshin this is only for whales or older players who missed some characters, and is a trap for newer players especially since newer content is more geared towards the newer characters

@@Eicheronxnot only standard. The majority of old character have been/are getting replaced. It’s like a rule of thumb for new players to avoid pulling for older characters unless you’re willing to get them E2 S1 like I did with DHIL.

I mean its obvious the reason the time window is short is to instill pressure on the player to pull. "Darn, running out of time, and I lost the 50/50. Hmmm I guess I gotta whip out the credit card." Its nothing new, standard gacha tactics. That is also why the fate point can expire; its not a mistake in programming. Its to pressure players to pull and spend. But I gotta say. The fact that there is no featured 4 star, AND it uses up the precious limited pulls, this looks like a total waste.
Still will not convince me to consume my Stellar Jades (i will only spend them for a character i genuinely like), otherwise cool feature 🗿👍
For the Fate point system, it's bad because Genshin's banners are terrible when it comes to conserving the 50/50 loss (more so the weapons that don't carry over and the fact you have to lose twice to get what you wish). HSR could still make significant changes and make it better...as it already did with the banners themselves being better than Genshin's
The fate counter system seems needlessly punishing for the player. If the banner has its own seperate pity why would that pity not carry over to the next banner just like the limited character and limited LC banners. It seems like its breaking the precedent of the other banners in the gamd for no other reason but to punish the player. What concern do they have about pity carrying over for this particular banner that they wouldnt have for any other banner?
I ain't pulling on this banner if they dont guarantee a character, 180 potential pull on a rerun character specially on this game where powercreep is pretty fast, i don't really have an incentive to pull on them
who cares about them copying eachother? they're the same company. i saw some other comments regarding genshin copying simulated universe.. which doesnt really make sense to me ngl.. imaginarium theatre doesnt really feel that similar to simulated universe.

Ye it works for WuWa and it's safe, I topped up and everything went well. Ngl topping up in the game itself is guaranteed safe, but lootbar is 95% safe
Question; I just lost my 50/50, suppose I wait to draw until this banner (which I'm not, Lingsha will be mine) would I get my desired character and a fate point upon getting said character, since I didn't have one to use to obtain them?

Yeah this pattern should continue. We might get less new 5 stars in the future though as HSR has been pumping them out a lot
