4:52 That is not Drake's Eye-- that is "The Surge" which is Leviathan's Tsunami frozen in time (discussed on the Rising Tides DLC). It was after Drake's Horn fell (which is implied to be in Southern Ash), that the Motes of Water (the people of water) became nomads and scorned by the Greagorian faith as heretics until they managed to find their place in the Northern lands where the events of "losing" Leviathan took place. At the time Drake's Eye was present among regions of the Northern Thegns.
@@ZeusMcGodabs-z8gfs yea love the world of final fantasy games . just always was put off by turned based combat , that’s why when this dropped I was happy asf . Lol ended up w over 45 hours played
Expanding on the War of Magi factoid: This also happens in XIV, this is the war that happened between Black and White mages, and it lead to two calamities respectively.
105: Also Ultima and his acolytes like Barnabas call Clive Mythos; Mythology is a kind of Fantasy and Ultima in Latin means LAST. So Ultima Mythos is a synominous with Final Fantasy.
Back then I always saw a somewhat "big fuzz" over the lack of diversity in the setting, I just played the game and to my surprise a big chunk of the map is heavily inspired by middle eastern culture and people as well, a nice suprise IMO, so, it's odd that Yoshi P. didn't mention this in that same interview.
I played this game with the japanese voice acting so I didn't even know there were a few Game of Thrones alumni in the english voice cast Time to play it again I guess, I appreciated it but I disliked the turn into action RGP they took (and even so it's debatable it's an RPG at all, it's mostly action), I disliked it too in FF XV but I guess this is necessary to appeal to new audiences
While i don't hate the game I'm struggling to play it compared to the older games and the ones i replayed recently. I just find it.... boring? I didn't like 15 all that much either but at least the game world felt more full and interesting, hunts were fun and you can cook and fish. This games world feels empty and closed off, the quests are average and fetchy and the travel is boring. The combat is alright but i havent found it all that challenging. Its running into a similar issue i had with ff15 was that i don't feel attached to the characters, they all feel like they have base level personalities.
I didn't play the game but watched an LP (NicoB's). I'm super easy to entertain, but even with the edited videos with the grind stuff taken out even _I_ was often bored by the game as well. The side quests were tedious, the characters barely reacted to each other outside of cutscenes, and the story's interest took a deep dive south once Kafka was defeated. There were other things I didn't like--such as neither Clive nor Joshua giving a sh*t about Olivier, especially after learning he'd been essentially possessed and killed at birth, despite the focus on brotherly love--but I don't want to rant too much 😅 In conclusion, this was the game that had me strongly desiring to empty my savings to finally buy a PS5, so I'm glad I didn't end up doing that. I don't hate FF XVI, bit I feel disappointed after having such high expectations.
Epitome of meh. It's like a hot girl that can't hold a conversation 😂😂😂 looks great but has zero depth with such a trope-y story. You know what's gonna happen long before it ever does
Fun fact: this isn't a FF game, infact its not even an RPG just an action game. They put action RPG because they know if they don't, then the title Final Fantasy would be completely pointless.

Came here to say that 😊
This is my favorite Final Fantasy game ever
Mine too
Everyone has a favorite! Awesome that this is yours. Mine is 13
It's the first one I've actually played more than 40 minutes of. I have never liked turn based stuff unless it's Civilization

Amazing game in general and I’m not even into final fantasy

Would've been interesting to see a gunblade like Revolver or Lionheart appear as weapons for Clive.

So Ultima Mythos is a synominous with Final Fantasy.
The voice production for FFXVI is recorded in ENG first before the JPN cast from the general setting of the game based on Midevil Europe
YES FINAL FANTASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FF16 Odin looks so much like Stranger of Paradise Chaos I got super confused and thought SoP was a prequel 😂
FINAL FANTASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favourite FF ❤

I love FFXVI, but 2 drawbacks.
1. U only use a longsword for the whole game.
2. Too many side quests after a big event in the main story.
This is my favorite game of all time
