RIVERS ASSEMBLY CHALLENGES APPEALS VERDICT AT S'COURT
•Insists Oko-Jumbo Remains Speaker
•Urges INEC To Conduct By-Election For Vacant Seats
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Victor Oko-Jumbo, has confirmed the filing of an appeal at the Supreme Court challenging the Appeal Court judgement delivered on Wednesday in Port Harcourt. Rt. Hon. Oko-Jumbo clarified that the action was necessitated by the fact that the Assembly "strongly believes that the Court of Appeal was in error when it held that the Rivers State High Court lacked the Jurisdiction to hear and determine SUIT NO. PHC/1512/CS/2024". The Speaker clarified this by addressing lawmakers during the plenary at the temporary facility used for Legislative businesses in Port Harcourt on Friday.

Kudos to medical professions in Nigeria. They are doing their best to save lives. Lawyers and judges i don't understand their profession, they form laws and the same time interpret laws they form in a negative way. If medical practitioners behave like some of Nigeria lawyers and judges many sick patients will have died in Nigeria. What legacy this judges are leaving for the students at faculty of law in Nigeria institutions? Does it mean if you interpret the laws you form correctly the politician at the right side can't appreciate you? Those supporting x and x if you are their sons daughters or relatives is ok because know one will say my papa or mama soup no sweet.
