My company us an major OEM Engineering Company that custom design builds plant site equipment that are all integrated into one entire process system for operation and controls. This is a bit different to many Manufacturing Plant sites that have many manufacturing lines, separate systems with PLC’s and devices to possibly send all that to a Ignition/MQTT statement. In our case there is mainly one Main Control Panel with the Main PLC Controller in Panel that accumulate and control all that I/O Data from all those equipment. Thus it would normally seem to be a design where one main PLC is sending that needed data via IgnitionEdge to a MQTT broker? We normally have at least 1-2 local and remote HMI PC’s connected to this PLC Network as a completely isolated system from everything else on plant site.. Would the IgnitionEdge software in this case be installed on desktop HMI PC connected to the PLC Network to read the PLC I/O data?
