during this period.. one critic said that she.. "is the rightful heir to blonde ambition"... :). That's where she got the name from.. She really did the whole Marilyn/Judy Holiday thing. It's also interesting to note that La Isla Bonita was supposed to be for Michael Jackson but he hated it. So Madonna tweaked it and well.. the rest is history.

I wonder if the silence after “hi I’m Madonna” at 3:15 was intentional or accidental. She slumps down in her chair a bit - her sunglasses conceal how her eyes react. Was it real? Did she freak out cuz they didn’t cheer? Odd.
