Ok essentially it is this - as a happily married man to a very beautiful but very very perfectionist wife, occasionally, she lets her guard down and admits she is not perfect, like Claire does in the scene. At this point you feel a little window of freedom to acknowledge that “no-one is perfect and it does not matter, I love you” but you should not. Obviously many others agree as the 5200 likes seem to indicate. So not a joke but an observation.

Yeah so I’m gonna be honest, I’ve had the same thing happen where I’ve just been like alright whatever I can’t hate her because I’ve got a ‘bad vibe.’” And surprise surprise, she gets drunk enough one night that she ‘doesn’t see me there’ and starts flirting in front of me. Like on his arm, and squeezing it, hitting him in the chest lightly, and doing that thing where she props her head up on her arm. And she knew we were dating, but made it a point to ask if we were and had the audacity to go, “what a shame,” and that’s where my bf ended that conversation. I was smoking a cigarette towards the end because she was being a b_tch and I was getting upset especially I wasn’t saying anything, but I didn’t want to be the a__hole. She made it a point to wrap her arms around his neck and say “love you,” and she was gonna walk past me. I didn’t even really think about it and it was super petty but I blew cigarette smoke in her face as I grabbed her and hugged her and was like “love you girl was so good to see you.” And we haven’t talked to her since.
He was pretty pissed after that interaction because he genuinely did see it as harmless, and I understand how that feels, and it doesn’t feel good.
She was the kinda girl that they had dated almost a year or so ago and broke it off because she was talking to someone else too, and chose them. So they stayed friends, and I came along, and we started dating she seemed to be really upset by that. And she seemed to never get over the age difference, when everyone else eventually realized “oh sh_t this is none of my business.” I could tell she felt threatened, and tbh she really was in no position to be.
I’m never going to ask or tell my man to stop hanging out with a woman, I will only tell him if it makes me uncomfortable. And after that I told him I was uncomfortable and he agreed. I just figured that was the adult situation. Can’t say I didn’t want to drag her by her hair though. Just had to be mature about it tho, otherwise she wins. Kinda burns me up inside having to be the bigger person tho lol
