- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers along with officials in Maryland as part of a Unified Command carried out a controlled demolition with explosives to demolish the Key Bridge outside Baltimore, which is still stuck to the Dali cargo container ship. The demolition was expected to take place on Sunday, but was delayed until Monday and finally carried out at 5pm ET.

My camp fire popcorn popper. 😮💨
@@bertram-raven im gonna need a visual interpretation for that please, my colleagues need a better understanding of this instrument
Serves you right. Start buying Made In USA
This whole thing from the start is freaking ridiculous.
YES . A bunch of drunken Sailors . Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum . . . . Oops , there goes a bridge . Captain > get me another bottle of Rum . " Don't drink and drive " < is a joke . Don't get in a ten million dollar ship and take out a bridge , you idiot . " who put that f%#@ ing bridge in my way , lol !
Unfortunate that the broadcaster doesn’t know the difference between an explosion and an implosion.
it's an Explosion not an Implosion....
Using it in a sentence. "Stormy Daniels exploded onto the scene whilst JPC imploded on the WH Press podium."
Showdown at levis corral
I thought similar. Though my thoughts are it's not an implosion. It's a demolition using explosives.
The MV Dali didn't come up in the water at all, it is still stuck in the mud.
It's stuck and there probably is water in some of its hull. At least at this point they can actually deal with it.
Most of the bridge weight was on the channel bed not the ship which only supported the short section severed by demolition. That's why the bridge section to which it was attached didn't drop much.
The bridge deck is still sitting on the bow of the ship
The ship is currently ballasted to keep it stable. The water ballast will be pumped out before it is moved.
They could have backed the ship out within a few days and opened a passage way but its all about the insurance money.... what a joke
Why isn't it being discussed that this was planned, and no accident?
🤫👁
What are they going to do with the ship that has all those supplies on it? They should keep that because I'm sure it's things that people need to go in the grocery stores and other stores
wheres the said "Implosion"???
what? you thought the news would be truthful?
The star-spangled banner bridge❤🇺🇸❤
That was rather uneventful
I think the Dali demolished the bridge last month.
Boy are you on the ball.
The ship destroyed the bridge March 26, so not last month.
Structural integrity ? Yeah , send it back to sea with that big hole in the front. 🤣
What madness are the working man doing?.
Huh
Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering”.
And they couldn’t have done that sooner because why ? Making that ship, its crew, & cargo sit there for weeks ? Humm …
Did you not hear they were still recovering the bodies of those who were working on the bridge when it got hit?
Interesting fact, that the bridge was invisible for the captain.
you know the same way they took down the towers
911 was an inside job...
So does this mean I can get my made-in-China toys now? Been waiting for weeks.
They won't be able to float that ship unless the concrete lanes are removed..
It is easier to get to now.
That’s crazy that the freeway/those lanes look completely intact. Great job, 6:16 looks like most of the cargo can be saved.
I was wondering that very point will the ship be able to be moved and taken away from the damaged bridge but you answered that question thanks. I see the damage on the ship too.
Has the last worker remains been found yet? I know 5 have been found but what about the last worker?
Yes, recovered last week as reported in this coverage
@@deantait8326good to hear. I wondered that too.
Did they get the crew out of the ship before doing that? If not I wonder what that would sound and feel like from inside that ship sitting right there.
Is any of that cargo salvageable?
Only taken 55 days to clear🙈🙊🙉
Foxforce Five😀
I wonder if the Dali has go it's power problem fixed while waiting?
Does Fox 5 instruct their ‘reporters’ ( ..chuckle..) to use two prepositions in succession, as in ‘ off of ‘ ?
Have you ever used the word ‘ from’?
Try it. Great preposition.
Not only does it work well but listeners ( if they exist) won’t think you’re a Boston Bruins play-by-play announcer or colour man.
NIT PIC MUCH? SAD
@@lyndapurcell4450 Hello Lynda……Clearly you don’t think announcers who are presumably being paid to make presentations on a network-even one as diminished and compromised as Fox-should be expected to have some rudimentary grasp of the language.
Communication skill should be paramount if one is in the communication business.
That’s the bottom line.
As others have pointed out, this fumbler didn’t know as much as the difference between an explosion-which it was-and an implosion.
I’m sorry to be the bearer of this, but this man is inept.
As regards your ‘sad’ comment directed at me, what is truly sad is your willingness to acceptance this level of drivel.
Below, I will provide a suggestion to you using grammar that you seem to prefer.
Here goes…….You need to get off of from your complacency.
Have a better day………..🎓

2:09 synchronicity (sound delay as it is). 🎉
Was the secret service involved or did CIA act alone in this act of sabotage?
So accidents can’t happen? Any major accident has to be a conspiracy? That’s really no way to live
Yeah we cant have accidents? would u have something different?

Dali ?
Baltimore bridge
When will it be rebuilt? Time-line for completion?
Maryland plans to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge in just over four years at an estimated cost between $1.7 billion and $1.9 billion, a state transportation official said Thursday. The state plans to build a new span by fall of 2028, said David Broughton, a spokesman for the Maryland Department of Transportation.
Took 8 years to build the Sunshine Skyway in Tampa Bay. It will take longer than it should. :)
@@edwinarobinson691 China can build a solid 40 storey building in 1 week but US needs YEARS to build a bridge?
A copy of Obama's real birth certificate is in one of those containers. 😉
Psh…..
If we get a 3rd barge/bridge incident this year conspiracy theory's will no longer be theory's.

Waterline on the boat didnt change. Mission Fail.
She's ballasted to prevent anymore hull damage when the charges are set off.
Yes it did take time to prepare it properly but they did appear to do it.

I wouldnt call it a 100% sucess
Is no body going to say anything about the fact that there might be chemicals inside those containers? Seems alot like an east palestine ohio "clean up"
The containers on Dali are dry freight containers not tank containers. East Palestine was a train of liquid tank cars not ISO containers. One thing is not like the other.
All HazMat would be listed on the ships cargo manifest so the contents are not some mystery. They are so listed so cargo can be appropriately distributed when container vessels are loaded. Image search "intermodal ISO tank container" for what tank containers look like, typically a rectangular ISO standard box frame suspending a cylindrical liquid tank in the center.
The rail tank cars at East Palestine were a mix of types including DOT 111 tank cars which are old and in gradual phaseout.
@@Comm0ut I understand what a tanker is but at the same time you can have already packaged containers of for instance paint thinners taking up half of one the containers alone.
I'm a hazmat trucker.
And as far as I'm away if my truck rolls in a ditch I'm responsible for 100% clean up. I can't leave packages at the bottom of the ocean or in the ditch polluting the environment
