Another artist on youtube loves the Staples paper also. I ordered it and it's great! Now I have heard that Desktop Publishing offers a similar paper at a cheaper cost. I'm waiting for that order to arrive so I can compare it to the Staples.

I want to find a textured paper (like the art paper one you liked) but since it washes out the color I know not to get that type. You are so welcome! I can not tell you which one is good for you or what to buy. Canon works the best for my own purposes and I have no regret so far. One things that is obvious here and that you should return that printer back for sure. I know everybody says the same thing about ink cost but if you want quality that coast money. It is important to have cheaper production but it is more more important for me to have good quality that will not bring me complaining and will bring costumer to shop one more time because of the quality. You should decide yourself. Some people care more about profit and some people like me care about the quality over quantity. Lastly it is such a good feature that the printer clean itself. I am not sure which is the best for you (pro 200 or 300) but you should check out the pros and cons for your own business. I hope this helps. Let me know which you'll end up buying!
I have used pro 100's for almost 7 years. I just got a Pro 200 I print B& photographs. The best were done on Epson,s (pigment based) but they were problematic, clogging constantly and wasting ink. I switched to canon 9000. I switched to semi gloss and luster.. I'm encouraged to go back and try some matt; maybe Red River or Hahnemule
Thank you for this video, making me aware that staples is an actual source for ink jet compatible card stock. I have been using Moab paper Heavy artist cards, in the hopes that our canon pro 1000 would auto feed these cards. But they are too thick, so I am currently stuck feeding one sheet at a time into our canon pro 4100. 800 sheets feed so far, 200 to go, then we will be buying some staples paper.

Dear Nazli hi! I love the excitement you have about your art and your printer. I hope everything going smooth for you. I just kindly want to inform you about a few things for your very capable new printer Canon pro 200. The specific printer it's gallery quality printer BUT.. There is a big but here. This printer all of his power and quality in the most of the cases is for glossy papers. It's capable also for some good prints in matte papers but it's not made it for that. For Matte papers the pigment inks is superior. The Pro 200 is DYE based printer and the dye based printers it's the best for glossy prints. Those spesific inks has 100 years lifetime but with terms. Not sunlite, keep in a album, or behind glass. The DYE inks is transparent and that's why is always more punhier in colors that the pigment inks that the more Profesional printers have. This printer is the ultimate printer for home use, to print your photographs, but if you want to sell your artwork it is much much better to have a pigment printer. First of all the pigment printer in case of Canon the Pro 300 10inks 13 inches model and the Pro 1000 12 inks model 17 inches is highly recommended for selling prints. First of all when you make money from your artwork you have the moral obligation to give your customers pigment based prints and of course always with the original OEM inks. In terms of longevity they last many many more than the dye inks. Secondly the pigment inks it's by far more stable in the presentation of your art because they don't shift the colors of your print especially in black and white prints because of the light bulbs of its customer has in their homes. Example, maybe in your room the print with the Pro 200 look very nice but in the room of your customer with different light bulbs look more yellowish or greenish or having magenta cast... The pigment inks it's far more accurate, they don't suffer from light temperature, and have by far more longevity. That why all the professionals printers has only pigment inks and not dye. The pigment inks stays at the top of the surface, dye inks it's absorbed in the paper, is transparent and because the light is pass through them its much more valuable to light sources. The pigment inks is also much more tough in scratch resistants and it's don't smudge with water. With a few word is in every aspect superior expert in the glossy papers. There is your printer the King. If you decide to change printer for the kind of job that you want and i encourage you to do to go for a pigment I highly recommend not to go for the Pro 300 but go for the Canon pro 1000 for the a numerous reasons. First of all it more capable, 12 inks vs 10 vs 8. The cost way way cheaper than your and even more from the pro 300. The pro 1000 has 80ml per color!!! And the rule on Profesional printer as bigger you get then the more cheap is the inks! Your printer has only 12,5 ml percartige which after a little bit of time you have to change it very frequently and you will have to challenge with the domino effect... This is also and for the pro 300 unfortunately. The pro 1000 is totally defrent animal, much much more Profesional printer. Also if you notice the pro 200 it's Pixma printer! NOT Image Prograph like the Pro 300 and 1000 and the line goes up in to the plotters. The Profesional printers for selling art is all of them Image Prograph. The pro 200 is just the top of the line Pixma Printers, in a few words, the best HOME printer for personal use, to prints "mostlyć photographs. It's the best" photography" printer for not professional use. All of that I write to you very kindly, please don't get me wrong. I also have the pro 200 and love it, and much more other pigment printers and when I see the excitement in your eyes about your first printer and especially for having jobs with this printer I thought to inform you a little bit more to prevent you for loosing a lot of money in time. Please make your own research and you will understand very well that this printer is cheap to buytbut in terms of use its very very expensive buying inks especially with the domino effect. Even if you don't care about the longevity, or the better quality and more stable quality of your prints you will and to spend a lot of money with that printer. Also the pigment printers have much more range on the papers that they prints because as I mention before the ink stays at the top! Something else, the Epson paper that you mention there is also edition with double side printed with a little more cost. It's cheap but very good for the money it costs. Value for money! I looked at the Pro 300 and Pro 1000, and both were more expensive, so I had to take the price into account when deciding which one to get first. George, I heard that if you aren’t printing 3- 5 images a day, then the pro 1000 isn’t worth it because it will keep using ink as maintenance to keep nozzle clear. They say pro 300 is best used for 1 print a day or less.
@@BokushingusKendoTV If you can print 1 image per day is very nice! One image per day is really very good and you avoid a lot of cleaning cycles! The pro 300 if you search and see numerous o videos reviews almost no one recommend that printer. It is VERY expensive for what it offers. In the 13" printers the Pro 200 is one hell of good printer with vibrant colors and good price but lucks in longevity of the prints it made. The real deal is the Pro 1000 and if you print one image per day is Top notch! If you plan to print every 2 weaks, yea... The most ink will go in maintenance box

My biggest problem was finding the right paper but your video helped with that. I ordered the Staples Premium Paper and it should be here Saturday. I cannot wait. After coming from a laser printer that I can throw any type of paper at without issue. I quickly learned that inkjet printers definitely require specific types of paper. It can be quite a hassle trying to find something that works well especially when you are doing the greeting cards and need thick cardstock. Still looking for 110lb cardstock to run on my pro 300
Has the staples one fade or yellow since you had it for a while? :D That is my biggest worry. Was thinking of getting the Staples Satin since its hard to find the Canon Luster for me
Hi Nazli! I looked at your video because I was searching about Staples Ultra Premium Photo Paper. I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. It has pigment inks. I tried the Staples Ultra Premium Matte. The print quality is fine. Very sharped and detailed. But here is the problem: Because the paper tray is on the front, the paper has to do a 180 degree in the printer before reaching the headprints. So because that paper is a little slippery, it slips and the printer starts to print before the paper reaches the headprints. So the print is off a few mm and sometime more than a cm. 😪Here is my question: do you encounter the same problem with your printer? Thank you ahead for your answer! 😃

Yes, absolutely. It depends what kind of art do you do. I am very happy with pro200 for what I do. I thought instead of buying pro300 I would rather buy pro200 now and when need anything more than this Would rather buying 1000.
i hope you now that this printer in main is not for greeting cards.. but art photos . Pro 300 is pigment photo printer for fine art matt papers! I do not advise it because of the small and very expensive cartridges. And if you don't print a lot, due to the maintenance of the pigment print head, you will throw almost half of the ink into the waste canister that is under the printer.. the pro 200 is not that wasteful because it is a dye based printer..a process that takes a few minutes before printing is cleaning cycle which this printer does every 6 or 7 days automatically pro 300 every 60 hours

Hi dear Nazli Can you please help me out about printing mismatch color on pixma pro 200 ? My prints from Adobe illustrator have totally different colors with the prints on Canon Matte photo paper… can you please explain to me what settings I missed maybe or what is the problem?

I noticed a much better print when using the ICC settings for the specific paper. Have you found the ones for the Staples and Epson you liked?
I've been usign ICC as well but now I love RGB profile too. Give it a try :)

@@sararam3141 You can try to print on Generic RGB profile. If it is not a vector file be sure that vibrance of the colors are bright enough.

For the staples paper
you don't download, you printer has different set ups for the type of paper you can use. I use canon pro200 lightweight photo paper for staples paper
