    I love your space Linda! What I love most is that your garden has transformed over 30 years. What we are seeing is 30 years in the making. There are so many gardens that pop up over night and it’s not realistic for most of us. Time makes a garden great

    Linda, this is an example of why I love what you do. You are excellent at putting us right at your house and in your gardens with you, by way of your explanation of each detail. The term “stoop” is very common in New Orleans and perfectly applies to your small landing. That plant stand is very utilitarian and we may need that! The patina on your awning to the back door is perfection in my eyes! I think old houses looking like old houses in ways such as this is beautiful! Thank you for doing this tour! ♥️🏡💚🌳

    When we bought this house 2 years ago it was important that we find a home where my elderly Mother and I could have a garden since we came from a condo. We found a great house with a vegetable garden on one side of the house and a flower/patio/stone path/lawn garden on the other side of the house. I was out there every day but when my Mother passed away at 100 I sort of lost my motivation. I've been desperately trying to get up the motivation again but it had been a struggle. That's when I found you. I am now motivated and my garden is looking beautiful again. Thanks to you and your daily walk abouts.

    • @lisaoswalt5233
      @lisaoswalt5233 4 роки тому +1

      The plant is a two tiered Eugenia. It’s already had its first light trim since it was being repotted in a new slightly larger pot. Just some of the longer scraggly shoots.

I wanted to share an awesome moment last week, I walked into Home Depot and they had Eugenia topiaries!!! I was beside myself with excitement. So both are repotted and I did my best to shape them so with fingers crossed, I have a tad bit of Linda joy. Have a small myrtle in my kitchen that I almost killed till I realized it was getting to dry. So thank you for igniting a fire in me! Hugs from Texas.

    Hi Laura, beautiful tour! I have a question - I have a couple green velvet and a green mountain boxwood in containers and they've developed a yellow margin around the leaves. Have you ever experienced that? I figured since you're the boxwood whisperer you might have an answer 🙂

    • @LindaVater
      @LindaVater  4 роки тому

      Does the yellow look sickly or rather just a characteristic of the leaves?

    • @sagaza22
      @sagaza22 4 роки тому

      @@LindaVater Thanks for replying! They don't look particularly sickly, but I know they're supposed to be solid green so they look off. I've googled it and other people have had it happen, but no one really had a good answer about what's causing it. I'm going to try to cut them back and fertilize and see if that helps!
