Thank you! I think these two just go hand in hand. Like you can hold one in one hand, and the other in... well anyway, they just make so much sense together. If sq-1 had better battery life it would be the ultimate portable setup for ambient, but it still probably is close to being that. but, putting them in a case with two USB batteries would make that easy.
Thanks so much!! It's a handy device! If you stick it out and find one used, they usually sell for half the price. I recently got another sequencer from Floating Knobs and it's got a lot of depth and possibilities. Once I fully learn it, I'll be unstoppable lol. I like SQ-1 though as well because it's quite straightforward and you can get going on some synth noodles fast. With the NTS-1, or a volca or both, it makes so such a fun compact combo.
Just ordered the SEQ-1 and can't wait to use it with the NTS-1....but am I hearing two synths here? There's a bass and separate high lead. How are you accomplishing that?
Congrats! It is the best bang for your synth buck! and fun to build! I think it's a mix of the low and high notes of the one synth plus the shimmer reverb. but yeah, it sounds really deep for such a tiny device!
@@andropolonsky sure! it goes from 40-240bpm. I think the sq-64 is on sale still? it looks so much more powerful, so if you are considering, it might be worth it. sq-1 definitely has a nice old-school vibe and approach and is just simple and immediate, not too big of a footprint. but it's not great with batteries, so I always use a USB power source for it.
AH! thank you :) I would love to get an nts-2 sometime, and also sq-64, and a million other things lol. but those two to start would be ok. Have an awesome day !!
Around the 5:00 mark it starts really reminding me of the old Fax Ambient albums. Niiiiiiiice!
it's awesome what you can do with just two little sound machines 🙌👍👍
thank you! they are small but mighty!
Nice! Really shows off how powerful the NTS-1 can be with the right sequencing.

That's some sweet ambient! I'm looking for the sq-1 quite a while but I haven't really decided to buy it yet.

Brilliant stuff-from that flurry of notes at the start to the calming end I was entranced ❤❤❤
cheers fellow ambient adventurer!
Reminds me of Autechre

I like controingl the NTS-1 arp root note with other devices and this seems like an amazing and affordable combo

beim sq1 hatte ich auch erst überlegt aber dann den beatstep geholt. coller chillsound.
Thank you! I really liked the beatstep, but eventually sold it. It definitely has an advantage over sq-1 with the nice pads.
Goodn Tapes 🙂 Propz! Nice work and a nice result 🙂 Did you buy the new NTS-2? Keep it on! Geezy 🙂

Muy buen sonido y diseño del J6 en Korg NTS-1. Aquí una explicación en español latino: ua-cam.com/video/2jm9YsgVeXU/v-deo.html
