I've heard that a 'Mister Clean Magic Eraser' will remove the glass dust very well.

is that glass thin enough to cut? if so what settings? I was thinking a nice stained piece of wood behind it but it would need holes drilled in order to mount to the wood

can you try at 4%? My laser module is significantly lower than yours at 1.6w. I would like to make etched bottles for reusable glass bottles to eliminate plastic bottles.

I'm using a Co2 laser and they have minimum power level to fire the laser- mine fires starting around 5%. It sounds like you're using a blue laser diode and the power levels are not comparable because the lasers are different types. If the 1.6 watt laser diode can mark glass you'll something like tempura paint to engrave the laser and very slow speeds. Here's a link engraving glass with a 10 laser diode machine: ua-cam.com/video/7s7Y7YoSR5k/v-deo.html

Is this the air assist or water cooled version?

The stock machine is water cooled and includes a basic but functional water pump. I added an air assist kit for deeper, cleaner cutting, and most of all to keep the focus lens cleaner and cooler!

@@thelaserchannel1 thank you - that actual helps me feel better about my future purchase of the machine with the air assist kit

@@lifewithjesse_la Excellent! I always run air assist- when engraving I just turn the air flow down.
