King Of Chinatown takes an in-depth look at the culture of video games, an industry that has evolved into a worldwide, multi-billion dollar phenomenon. Filmmaker Calvin Theobald follows Justin Wong, a video-game prodigy sharpening his skills as he battles challengers in the cutthroat competitive world of Street Fighter IV. But as Justin fights his way through the ranks, he finds himself up against a formidable off-screen challenge -- his allegiance to The Empire, a video-gaming collective run by the charismatic and potentially destructive leader TriForce. Culminating in an epic battle at EVO, the largest video-gaming competition in the world, King of Chinatown shows us the entertaining on-the-ground trials of a Street Fighter IV sensation.

@elgilicious Haha. Awesome. Glad to see we've held your interest for at least a year...The truth is, we're just looking for a place to premiere it at the moment. We want to give the people who want to see the film an opportunity to do so before we start sending it out to festivals and taking it to events where it might be harder to see it.
i work at gamestop, Justin and triforce came into my store acting all hard one day, my boss and co-workers couldn't stop laughing at his face!!! cuz he's acting like a bad-ass, but hes just a nerd, and his managers name is fricken TRiforce!!! lol we couldnt stop laughing at them, they eventually got mad and left the store hahahaha but no disrespect, justing is great, but Daigo is better.
ironic justin brought EMP to where they are and now with him going to EG everyone is jumping ship, goodluck building a name around Yipes and Sanford, how did they do at EVo2k10? lol
but we cant say Justin is the best at SF4, if Daigo beat him twice...
nah he's just helping him out with the PR. if he becomes more marketable, the game might become more popular which would = more money.
Just finished watching this. This should have been called Empire Arcadia: Triforce. I thought they would go into Justin's extensive history in ChinaTown Fair and gradually show his rise. It wasn't bad but the title and premise is misleading.
can't really make it to Florida. Will there be a torrent or dvd release of this?

@bonhamg No torrent. A DVD at some point, but not for a while. We have big plans for this before we start selling it. Hopefully we will be able to bring the film near you so you can see it in a theater.
but looking at someone merits justin wongs merits are way better then daigos , jwong dominated a game for so long (mvc2).
daigo never dominated a popular game at all he always been good but never the best. since now in sf 4 , but common he and the other japanese players had the game months before jwong had it and still he almost won vs daigo in the finals , what does that say ? daigo overated ? think so
Like I said, a disgrace..and don't get me wrong, I've met all these gamers before. I know who they are, and I see them get beat by random, really good players at the arcade all the time. If those were the guys going to these tournaments, they'd be the ones with movies. But they actually go to the arcade to kill time and distract them from their "9 to 5"
Triforce states that every generation has a player that transcends the certian activity. That player is Daigo Umeharra not Justin Wong. Justin is a great all around figthing game player( A God in Marvel 2). But not on the same level as Daigo, close but not quite. Also some of the comments Triforce made were really creepy.

anybody can lose. no one is perfect. i think justin wong can beat diago. he's skilled enough to be able to beat diago.but besides that, there are other japanese player that can win against both justin and diago more times than losing to them. there so much high level players out there that it is almost impossible to pick 1 and say he's the best.

yeah the competition in japan is at such a higher level than it is here...also keep in mind that daigo had retired for a bit until the gamestop SF IV tournament where he beat the top 4 players in the world and got a free trip to evo this year where he beat a justin wong who still competed
Justin Wong is a Good player and deserve respect, but this movie is the stupidest idea ever. Does Triforce knows what he's saying. Justin is not number but definitely the one of the best in the world. Everybody hates on him cause of his arrogant but that's cool if he had better sportsmanship.

Wong just did not get beaten, he was destroyed by Daigo at Exhibition Match. At Evo, Wong had the luxury of knowing Daigo using Ryu. Daigo, without preparation, still beat Wong as he used two different characters. Wong is just another guy Daigo Beasts.

Is the whole film finished now? and will we see an release date. As a British citizen I highly doubt myself being able to go to any of these viewings which is a downer as I saw this when it was first in prod. and was highly interested.
