Not all of us are interested in the "pressure", "vibes" and what players are like in the dressing room. That is something I feel English journalists need to pick up from eg US sports journalists who come with stats on paper ready to actually dissect the ins and outs of the game. Forgive me but that is a very lazy question IMO. If it was painted along the lines of what Porto did for example spreading their CBs wide to bypass our press. So what we can do to adapt to the different approaches of football that we going to see in European competitions in a general sense. I would love to see journos come in looking like they have done their research too. Force them to give you more technical answers. Not all of us care if players are getting hugs from teammates in the dressing or whatever narrative that has nothing to do with whats happening on the pitch.
It is a rare manager that will get into a specific tactical discussion in public before a game. For that kind of detail you're going to have to wait until they retire and write a book, or possible off season. The competition is so fierce that they really don't want to give anything away, I know I wouldn't. At best they will make a general statement about not getting their tactics right or not being able to make the needed adjustments.
Most managers and players will not respond to a tactical question even when asked. They like to be discreet with what they do. The only manager that I have seen do that is Arne Slot against Manchester United and he got beaten in his next game.😂😂😂😂
You can’t give away tactics in a press conference because the opposition will listen and plot against it. This is why football is better than American football.
