The only US missile defense system that attempts it is the THAAD( Terminal High Altitude Areal defense)
Patriot isn't designed to intercept ICBM's. THAAD would have a better chance but nearly all of those systems are overseas, the US has 1 or 2 THAAD's at home which could be used for intercepting ICBM"s. Plus the 44 intercepter missiles at Vandenberg and up in Alaska, and you still don't have nearly enough to intercept every warhead. Thousands will still reach their targets.

Whoever sends the warhead into the US homeland knows better what to expect in response, even Russia knows this very much ( or why do you think Russia is always saying the US is the aggressor when both the US and Russia share boarder at Alaska). Japan only stopped at pearl harbor and we all know what met them.

It may sound rough but when you look at it rich nations have declining populations and poor nations populations are booming, I think rich nations should make changes to increase their population and poor nations should stop with the boom and catch up economically. Rich countries feeding the poor will just increase the population while its actually the people of rich countries that could also use some financial help.
