I haven't played in mine yet but i can tell the differences between the shoes. It's not as soft and the shoe does feel stiffer. Heel slippage can be a thing in these if you don't size correctly. One thing I've noticed between everyone who has reviewed this shoe is everyone says something different about sizing. Some say size up, some say go true to size and one said size down. I did exactly like my highs, i went a half size down and I'm glad i did. If i would of gone true to size the shoe would of been to long.
I don’t have a pair of the highs but I got these a half size down cause of what I heard from ppl with the highs.. They’re pretty snug for me even with my feet on the narrow side but I can make em work. Adidas usually feel sloppy in the heel for me but these have been better than most - I think if I went tts, that might be a different story

There is a grey rubber disk on the bottom of the forefoot. Its not foam that you see in the perforated outsole its the grey rubber disk that they added hence why you cant bend the toe as easily. If you use a anything to poke it, you will feel that its not grey foam, but grey rubber.
Went .5 up due to my wide feet and big toe nails being crushed at tts, experienced heel slippage but still playable for me! Prefer playing them more rather than my mids
@@davehe1dh on the fense here, my feet must be same with Kobe and MJ whom their shoes gives adequate space for the big toes. I may wait for that USA version on aug 15th, the navy with orange hits for prolly casual use. I can't run with heel slippage😁

Today I was looking at both of my shoes and noticed that the the grooves on the lows aren't as pronounced as the mid tops. Bottom sole on the lows are slightly "flatter", probably why they don't squeak as much

Since i already hoop in the AE1 Stormtroopers (right now on the shelf because I'm playing in the Kobe 4 Protros, I'm not above getting the lows for casual wear.
@@Ejp23_ to me, the traction is the same, but AE1 has more cushion, but it's heavier. I'll say if you can't afford Kobes and you don't mind playing in heavy shoes, AE1s are an excellent choice. It's my favorite shoe to play in.

I guess I’m just used to hooping in Nike, Adidas, and Way Of Wade’s top of the line Tier 1 shoes (Jordan signature line every year…35 36 37 38 & 39 on the way, Harden Vol 7 and 8, and WOW All City 11, WOW 10, & WOW 11 on the way). So I guess I’m a bit spoiled in that regard. Tried some of the mid tier shoes like the Sabrina and returned them almost immediately.

Cushioning flat hard.. lightstruke is trash. True to size, nice Kanye theft design.. do like the style of shoe, but put your own Cushioning in.. it comes alive. Zoom strobel would make shoes great. Low lacing is better than mid, can pull laces tight on low..But rather play in mid over low
@timon701 he might be on to something. I tried mine on and they are noticeably stiff in the forefoot flex is tough, cushion is not as soft as the mids and I went down half a size and feel like I can lose a shoe if someone steps on the back.

Once you break them in get thicker socks that’s what I do

There's actually been a lot of anecdotal evidence of heel slippage in the lows as compared the OG's. That should definitely affect performance

Heel slippage is coming before the torsion plate is broken in or if someone buys the wrong size

I’m a size 12.5 or 13 for some ball shoes but this pair right here I got a size 11.5 and still fits big. Heel slippage is also an issue for sure
