I have 2 of the osmo pockets, 2 pocket 2s, and as soon as I got a notification today, I ordered my pocket 3 without even looking into it. I run almost all of my UA-cam footage with DJI Pocket cameras and they do not disappoint
how are you managing to use the 4 pockets? now 5? I have pocket 1 & 2 and not willing to sell them anytime soon, probably get 3 after few months.

I'm very curious about how the mic works, is it better in wind than the original DJI mics? Can you use the original DJI mics with the Pocket 3?
It's not waterproof, I assume. A feature I was very happy about yesterday when I realised I could use my Osmo Action 3 in a thermal bath for vlogging.

Is the footage batter than say the S23 Ultra or the new iPhone? So temped to get this just depends on whether it's any better in quality than my phone.
only i see this washed out whity contrasty look on all of the DJI pocket, action cameras? no matter of picture profile, its like in their core somehow.... compared to colors of GoPro which is like "iphone of actions in terms of colors", colors of dji completely weird for me, despite i understand technological phenomenon and all around greatness of their products, give your thoughts pls.

Hot damn! This is gonna rescue my arms from the occasional tendinitis, while vlogging with my Sony Alpha 7IV with a Sony PZ 16-35 mm lens, mounted on the Dji RS 3 Mini. And are you kidding me with that depth of field?!

@@viajefamiliarbig camera can zoom, change lenses. I am considering one of these as a wide angle replacement/second angle, but a bit of a waste for that purpose maybe one day 😊

Is the joystick more smooth than the pocket 2. For instance , is it variable speed depending on how much u move it?
Cool tech but i guess this product isn't for me. I already have a 20mm equivalent lens, a body that can record 4k 60. For the same price as this, I could buy a gimble + a black pro mist filter + a rode wireless go.
166 minutes of autonomy... However, if you shoot in 1080p at 24fps. Are they afraid to indicate what the autonomy is if you record in 4K@30?
It is called battery life.
You are correct in the sense that there is only one optimistic battery life value in the manual. I saw a lower value in a different UA-cam video, but I don't know where it came from.

DJI say this won't be available until the release of dji mic 2
I have the pocket 2 with a lot of accessories. Sorry DJI but pocket 3 didn't convince me to upgrade. The flip screen seems weak to me. Especially with recording button and controler near the bottom of the device which looks inappropriate.
You can put Pocket 2 in FPV and if you rotate the device you can shoot verical.
No need for a flip screen.
Can I use my DJI Mic Original system with the 2 transmitters for interviews with this camera connected via bluetooth or do I have to connect the receiver via the usb on the bottom? 🤔🧐

Great video Jeven I just bought the creator pack a plus for me is that DJI confirmed with me that original microphones work with Osmo pocket 3. Their technical team gave me this in writing. If you get a chance maybe you could test this. Congratulations on 1 millon subscribers. Its well deserved😊

I love my Pocket 2, and the 3 looks great! I will probably upgrade eventually, but I'm currently saving to upgrade my DLSR to Mirrorless, but after that, I think the Pocket 3 will be next.

Totally agree with you here. I love the look of the much larger screen. Faster than setting up your smartphone for better viewing. I am also loving the sound of the new Mic. Will this mic sync with the Pocket 2 is the question?

@@spirittravels. I think the real bonus is the stability of the gimbal for blogging. Less usable for serious action as the gimbal is pretty fragile.

A very good and clear video! Seems as if this is the camera to get if you don't need an action camera in terms of robustness. Obviously excluding bigger cameras. Can the mic be used separately? For example with your Sony? I assume not as you don't have anything connected to the Sony? So if you want to use the mic, but with the Sony you would need to have both cameras recording and then just sync afterwards? Or can the mic record on its own internally and then you can just sync the sound afterwards?
The mic does record internally - in 32bits.
Hello, congratulations for your video, could you please clarify some doubts for me? 1: Is the Mic1 of the pocket2 compatible? 2: I have not been able to see if the Mic2 has a jack input to put a lavalier microphone, as the Mic1 already has. Could you confirm it for me? 3. Does the capacity of the additional battery allow charging only 60%? I have two external batteries for the pocket2 and each of them can charge the camera twice. And they are from AliExpress that I have been using for more than two years. 4. Can the joystick be configured to zoom with the joystick, as with the pocket2, or can you only zoom on the screen? 5. To record in landscape format, does the screen have to be rotated or can you record in landscape format also with the screen in portrait format? 6. You say that with the new low light recording feature, it only supports 30fps at 4k. Can it, with that feature, record at 60fps in 2.7k? 7. Do you know if there have been any electronic improvements in the stabilization? I notice that the steps are still very noticeable, in the absence of a Z-axis. 8. To change the gimbal mode (Follow, Tilt locked and FPV), is it necessary to enter the on-screen menu? Is it no longer possible to access with an external button quickly? Why don't you download the manual? It should answer at least some of your questions.
I bought this for real estate. It's great for vlogging, but for property tours, I wish it was wider. I also purchased the creator combo kit. I tried using the wide-angle lens that it comes with but there is some bad distortion. Do you know how that can be corrected when using the wide-angle lens?
Imagine if DJI decided to make a more "regular/friendlier priced"..smaller version of the Ronin 4D!!!..thats what they need to do!...or even a "bigger/more serious" OSMO..not a "pocket'" version like the size of a Sony FX3 body to start with as an example...and have a bigger sensor..that would be great as well!
Enough DJI amd camera makers i can't keep up! We sont alk have $$$ to keep spending on new gear!

Action cameras, DJI pocket, Insta360 Go3, Insta360 X3, cell on a gimbal, dslr on a gimbal, drones?? Ugh too many....
I don’t get people comparing to an iPhone. With an iPhone, you still need a gimbal for moving shots. iPhone has no control over frame rate, shutter speed, sharpness, contrast, exposure, no D-logM, no audio rec levels, audio is unusable without a (single) external wireless mic, there’s no tracking, timelapse, no REMOVABLE MEMORY, short battery life, bad file management…etc, etc. There’s no comparison between digital stabilization and mechanical PERIOD. D-logM is miles better color grading in post vs. the iPhone. You can’t ignore 20 features that make the Pocket 3 a better video camera over a couple things you think are better on the iPhone. I’ll concede one point…The Pocket 3 does not make phone calls.
Nice effort ...now you ask for ideas ....how about testing the remote control app ....how slow can you do a pan using the wifi ....??? can you reord normal video - on the wifi control app . using way points for recording normal vídeo while remotly panning ???
What about the Z axis movement while you walking ??...

I think this is a s2upid idea. User experience? not as good as a phone. The main reason is the screen size. Small screen hurts my eyes. And you need to touch control it. Image quality? I believe it's better than phones, but not much better. The price is around $600 I remember? Thanks

I really don't think I need the Creator combo, because I have the original DJI mic (which I love), I have a mini tripod, I don't need the wide angle lens and if I want an extra battery pack I sure I can buy one in its own eventually.... Thanks !!!
Hey man, does this not have true vertical mode? Noticed it's cropping instead of rotating the sensor to vertical position

@@ats_us_nai don't worry about it, I just contacted DJI. They said all you had to do is hold the camera sideways for true vertical shooting, which makes sense lol.

@@ats_us_nai I think the problem was the sensor is too big for that. Only the mini and the original Mavic can rotate the sensor and they all have small sensors. One inch is probably too much for it to rotate

The combo is just not necessary. Very expensive for a combo you will not use.
No doubt those footage are the best … and the low light videos are just awesome.. But It has a movable screen .. And How many opening/closing cycle will it perform or last?? what if it breaks ??

I am disappointed that it hasn’t been mentioned to be more durable since the Pockets are extremely fragile. I did wish they would be able to at least be splash 💦 resistant. That was one of the main 3 things users wanted. At least they gave use the other 2 things we wanted I guess.
In the Pocket 2 case where the wide lens attaches it falls out very easily. I hope this time it holds better and doesn’t leave me having to replace it as frequently. I like that the windshield attaches to the mic better this time.
On the Pocket 2 I had to super glue it on in a skillful way not to compromise sound quality.
I Look forward to receiving my creator edition.

Thanks for the review. How do you add a microphone other than the wireless ones? Base Pocket 2 required usb c to microphone adapter or plug microphone directly to the do it all handle mic port. How’s the microphone situation on the pocket 3?

I think this would be great for travel…we travel full time and have a UA-cam channel…it is tough to pull out my A74 and get smooth footage and big gimbals are just not practical when traveling. Thanks for this video, I think I am going to get the Osmo Pocket 3!

how to set high bitrate? i get 80 Mbit/s and manual said max is 130 Mbit/s ?

HORRENDOUS Z AXIS IN 4K .-...!!!
I hope DJI sees this comment ...they had 3 years to sort out the Z axis up down walking movement ....3 years ...!!! absolutely horrendous ...!!! .
I have original POCKET 1 ..... from 2020 ...this new POCKET 3 ....still the same ...better image of course ....but Z axis still HORRENDOUS ...!!! AM KEEPING THE ORIGINAL POCKET 1 ...since this is no improvement for 600 euros combo pack .

Z axis is your arm. Practice holding and walking with your gimbal to remove the bounce on the Z axis. A 3 axis gimbal doesn’t eliminate it

Thanks for the video. Looks good, and significantly better than the Pocket 2, especially in low light and shadows. But important to clarify: it doesn’t have a 1-inch sensor, as so many (including DJI) claim but a ‘1-inch type’ or ‘type 1’ sensor which (look it up) is significantly smaller. We don’t have to regurgitate the PR and customers deserve accurate descriptions rather than unsubstantiated hype.
PLEASE ADVICE: I'm thinking about getting a GoPro 12 to film myself and colleagues at the gym doing Crossfit or taking it to a competition... it's not bulky, it doesn't attract much attention (I'm not used to filming myself, especially not at the gym ), it has the stabilizer and 7:8 recording for vertical and horizontal video... but I have also thought about this DJI Pocket 3....
Keep in mind that in Crossfit Boxes there is usually not very good light (and some flickering may even occur when recording at high FPS).
What would you recommend Gopro12 or Pocket 3 (or other option)?
