Good god this movie was amazing , baron zemo literally tore the avengers apart, having them fight each other, tbh no one was the hero or villain here lol and no one literally one, only baron zemo did. The fights here were some of the best fights in the mcu, that 2v1 combo on Ironman was THE money sequence from the trailer and the movie, I remember watching that sequence over a 100 times in the trailer.

I was mad pressed seeing the way they did Iron man in this fight. Most of the avengers wouldn't even survive getting 2v1'd by Captain America and Bucky at the same time. Cap breaking his arc reactor is even more dirty because it's literally tony's heart. He basically left him for dead somewhere in Siberia

He knew Hydra had kidnapped, brainwashed, and used Bucky as a slave for decades, he knew that Bucky had no control over his actions, he knew Bucky didn't want to kill his parents, he knew that he was doing exactly what Zemo wanted, he knew all of that. He just didn't care. Because thirty years after the fact he had an opportunity to finally vent his rage and grief on someone, and he didn't care about the circumstances.
Thanos, didn't use logic, he used his ego. His people on Titan felt his solution was insane, they died and Thanos wants to inflict his solution on the rest of the universe simply to prove that he's right. He never considered alternatives, even with the near omnipotence of the Infinity Gauntlet he doesn't try to come up with a better possibility. Dr Strange searched 14 million timelines to find a way to beat Thanos, Thanos only ever considered universal genocide to solve a problem that realistically would come right back 50 years later. It took 49 years for Earth's population to go from 4 billion to 8 billion.

@@stfuemokid101 It is kind of a missed opportunity that Tony never encountered Bucky again til the Battle of Earth in Endgame where there were more pressing matters. And at that point the Wakandans had already nullified his brainwashing and restored his mind.
Tony could've come to that conclusion, but with a moment to cool down and think on it I think he would've come to a different conclusion. Tony is a problem solver, if the question was about Bucky being a threat then is it easier to kill him and permanently sever the relationship with Steve, or cure Bucky and put him on the path to redemption. As someone who is on the path of redemption himself and had a lot of blood on his hands, I think Tony with his rage cooled would take the high road.
Tony had hit his rage breaking point in Siberia, not only the stress from Accords, and the airport battle, but freaking out over Rhodey getting paralyzed.
The coordinaton was peak! They grew up in Brooklyn, Even if Steve didn't get in on the jumping back then, HE KNEW what one looked like when Bucky used to save him and went in based on that!
To be fair, Tony was trying to actually _kill_ Bucky here for something that he wasn't ultimately responsible for.

Bucky was only sprung from that months at most prior to the civil war, while completely discounting that he was under hydra ever since world war 2. If I heard the full story I'd be pissed for sure, but I'd know full well where to direct that. Cap found out that Hydra arranged the hit. I always took it that Cap didn't research into that shit afterwards. I mean would you want to know definitively that your best friend killed your other best friend? Steve isn't stupid, the context clues were always there. Like he said he was sparing himself. And Steve knew that Bucky didn't do it of his own will so the point was moot. He didn't want to think about it and he didn't want to put it on Tony. That left a vulnerability that Zemo exploited. But it wasn't a cover up.

Also a point of note, Zemo did not know that Bucky had assassinated Howard and Maria Stark until he actually activated his Winter Soldier programming and asked directly for the Mission Report from 1991. Gaining direct access to Bucky is a much higher difficulty task than getting a file or decrypting the data that Nat dumped on the internet during The Winter Soldier.

I won't even lie, I'm Team Cap. I never saw the movie, but I read the comic the movie was (loosely) based on. Where Iron Man did some wild stuff - he made a cyborg clone of Thor that killed somebody, set up an interdimensional gulag for unregistered capes, and even sicced supervillains on the heroes who opposed him. I'm talking killers like Bullseye and Venom. So yeah, seeing Tony catch thirty seven different types of hands was a win for me.

The _entire movie_ Iron Man had been a bootlicking op because after _he_ damn near destroyed the world because he got paranoid, the feds decided to enforce legal control over _everyone_ with powers. Iron Man, after seeing the impact of his personal failings, decided this was a good idea because I guess if the great Tony Stark can cock up royally, anybody could. So going in, things were spicy between the two of them, and you can't spend several hours on screen trying to get somebody arrested and then turn around and be like "why are you hitting me?". But what's some bullshit about Tony here is that after being on some "the law is the law is the law" shit this entire movie, he's here now trying to commit murder just because it matters to him personally!

What if Tony's suit gets hacked by someone, he's trapped in his own suit unable to control it or contact anyone for help. Now let's say the person controlling the suit decides to go to a public area with lots of civilians and starts to massacre everyone in sight. Tony can't stop the suit nor use its functions to contact anyone to tell them what's going on.
Does it make sense to kill Tony for crimes he technically didn't commit just because he was in the suit while it was happening but he couldn't do anything to stop it himself?
The important thing to understand is that Bucky and Winter Soldier are two separate individuals, they just share the same body.
