I never heard about her. I don't even know how I fell on those videos. But the only thing I see is a bunch of fanatic freaks praising a music that sounds total crap. Now.. she might have started modular in the 50's or traveled to the moon nevertheless anywhere I clic on her videos I hear terrible boring basic music that nobody would release without beeing embrassed. I'm happy to change my mind, please take a moment to explain why this is so good.
@@logiqueraison5631 There's nothing to explain, but I'm 100% sure you'll enjoy the sound of the door closing behind you. I dislike classical music or classical jazz but have enough common sense to not call it crap. We're all built different, how ignorant and close-minded can you be not to realize that?
@@omnirhythm you do realise you are making a comparaison between one single artist and entire music genre right ? Like.. I can safely say "your analogy is crap". See it's possible to call crap crap when it is factual. Have a good day.
Feels like a brain message, and by a gentle hand. Just delight after delightfully different sounds, attacks, decays, mixtures, rhythms, textures, timbres and on and on. Not the easiest instrument to master, but she seems to be there. Thanks for posting, it was most enjoyable. 👏👏🎶😊
Truly amazing electronic music ... nothing that can be put in any drawer ... just real innovative music ... Suzanne Ciani is/was a truly innovator of electronic music !!!!
Amazing how she starts with the same sequences and every performance is different. She's having a conversation with electricity each time and the result of that conversation is different each time.
Buchla sinth is a living being. No one can predict what is going to be next. And she knows that. Her performance is the consequence of that knowledge. Myth.
There are four cv inputs on the MARF, which correspond to positions on the sliders of each stage. You can set each stage to read from one of the four inputs, and then as long as any sequences being sent to the inputs are in key with each other you can randomly mix between them in whichever way you desire. The same functionality can be found on the 250e.
Hello, student interested in electronic music composition here. Does anyone know what software she's using on each of her Ipads? I would love to try it out.
Spooky and impressing same time...it seems like magic, when she connects the cables, adjust the pitches and start looping them, mixed with other cables, slots and combine them in a new way...its in the nature of the analog electronic instruments that they evoke any time new surprising patterns of sounds ! Maybe the most psychedelic instruments human mind ever built...played by a real scientist/artist of that genre :)
ok for 1970s maybe, but even then people were doing much deeper explorations of synthesis (Charles Cohen etc.). when you add up 40+ years of experience on the instrument, you really start to wonder why the hype.
I admire and respect this woman on so many levels, such an awesome composer and performer !

perfect, just perfect. she's a goddamn legend.
I've seen her live a few times. Always beautiful!
So inspiring! She's the best. Thanks Suzanne and RA.
Outstanding performance.
Wonderful performance..and great production as well...respect respect
Cool seeing the 2H9's in there.
It sounds so crystal clear
Thank you for the binaural recording. I have never seen her live and this is the closest thing I have heard that represents the quad speaker setup

Use any sequencer with analog characteristics or cv in or probability and you will also find this is the case!
And they are still the same seqeunces she played in 1975 for the Buchla Concerts.... amazing
The fact this was an improvisation makes it that much better, great piece.
she's such a badass!!! so cool
Fantastic! I like the addition of Animoog which I think is an amazing wavetable synth app!
god bless HER and HER machine !!! :)
This is fantastic.
Her H9 pedals looks cool
Racked in a buchla boat! So dope
Brilliance
awesome 👍
Super Fantastica!!
Real good! For a bunch of reasons
yeah... but wich ?
This is it!
god bless her :)
damn

quite impressive, and really beautiful even though i'm not into this kind of ambient like stuff. she's a master
She is beautiful
I think she uses the MARF to address voltages in one the 200e sequencers, in a performative way. I wish I knew how exactly she does this

Where's the new album already? I wanna buy this on bandcamp!

Does anyone know where I could get or build an analog modular synth like this for an affordable price? I'd love any advice
❤️💣

It’s the H9 pedal software (it controls the pedal)
As said, the control app for the H9 Pedal (via Bluetooth) and the synth app "Animoog Z" on the other ipad.
11:43 Kupo!
hahahahahha nailed it kupo kupo!

what´s the app on the ipad?
is it by moog?
and how is it connected to the modular?
Animoog
she use sequencer on ipad
she makes module that takes a sequence from the app by wifi and distributes cv gate
14:00 your noise is very impressive, and they are kind to me, ma'am.
what‘s that h9 modular version?
@13:47 feels like I'm being hit by alien communications in outer space
i am still wondering how she can't make a mistake like "f*** wrong cable" or "f**** a knot in my cable" or anything wrong with cables lol
Hi, how can I send a demo?
The coolest Mom on planet Earth
nach 9:33min komm ich zu dem Schluß , es ist Niemand Besonderes am MODULAR !
Es hat Mich nicht bewegt - da hör Ich lieber Sphongle !

i love her voice....i love her sweetness....i love her spirit & i love her music...should we get married ?
