Yea this is 2nd set. Me and a friend drove from Syracuse in my 79 Chevy chevette. We had seen the Saratoga show and decided to drive to Pittsburgh. Such a great era. Miss those days. Like the saying goes "you don't know what you got til it's gone"

I went to this show with a good friend of mine. We both traveled from Charlotte, NC to Saratoga Springs, NY, then to Hershey, PA, then to two in Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD. Then on to Pittsburgh. This show was a bit out of the way but it was good. The show was in the entire venue from what I remember. I especially liked the Lost Sailor - Saint of Circumstance. The brokedown brokedown was a hoot too. Great experience.

I'm the tall guy dancing directly in front of Brent in the front row!! What a night that was..everyone having a great time, Brent full of himself, laughing and making faces at us. Seems like yesterday.....it all rolls into one, seems like all this life was but a dream. Great show and a great tour of 9 shows in 14 days. The sound on this video is just superb,
Holy chit Phil is getting it!!!

Brent was by far my favorite pianist for the dead, not only was he incredible and added so much musically but his voice did the same thing melodically for their vocals. I love the dead 65 to 72 but the Brent era was the best for me. Especially after Donna destroyed their harmony for 7 years wailing over songs she had no business on.. the audacity of that woman to be singing on masterpieces is out of this world. I can't listen to that era at all, if I want to hear 70s jer I listen to jgb

Damn this is cookin' ! Great levels on Brent's GS-1 in the mix, my favorite keyboard sound was when he was using that rig. Thing looked like furniture but could be funky and fat or chime like bells

My first show. A gifted ticket from a friend. Pittsburgh shows were always special and so much fun to host friends from out of town. We had about 70+ stay at the Bruno house in Washington, PA for the '88 Pitt show right after Alpine. So much fun. The house was full and tents and cars up and down the street. An amazing night. The next year '89 was the Pitt police riot and had a smaller crowd stay over. I always managed to get back home for shows but 88 was something special. Anyone out there remember staying at the Bruno house in Washpa in 88 or 89?

My first Show..Jim Hahn and I only saw this once at the Civic Arena, in Pittsburgh PA. The first time I saw the Grateful Dead in 1985, 7 -2 1985, Jim came up behind me. I didn't know he and BrianAkA (Klinger) Klingensmith were there ... but right after the first set as I watched a Foxy gorgeous woman undress completely and dance during Friend of the Devil ....then the set break... while I was smoking some really good Black Hash between the narrow row of seats In the Dome With Andrew Scott from Kiski a CMU friend and is now the head of the Art Department at Kiski I was bear hugged by this sweaty person .. I turned around and it was my brother Jim Hahn.....I was like-" I didn't know you like the Grateful Dead..." & he replied " imagine" that" Amazing......
What a first show.. total synchronization of two brothers!!! And the Whole Show... then we smoked Hash and the Grateful Dead opened up with "Woman are Smarter" for the second Set into Crazy fingers 😜 Then Sailor Saint.. Terrapin Station then Drums.. Mick and Billy!!! it was one of the last times the Grateful Dead played " Lost Sailor" they kept doing "Saint of Circumstance" but without "Lost Sailor"
It was some sort of miracle!!!!
HOLY CANNOLI. Double Encore.. and Jerry spoke after he flubbed Brokedown Palace in the wrong key... then started all Over saying "sounds Good, Huh??"
