I decided to purchase this radio back in November 2024 after thinking about it for a while. I'm very satisfied with it, and have no buyers remorse at all. I use it mostly for the Internet side since I use my other receivers for SW. But I do occasionally tune SW with it. I don't really like the location where the external antenna connector is located but I can work with it and it's not a huge deal. But all in all, I'm happy I decided to purchase it.
There's still definitely room for improvement, but it's greatly improved. Still needs work on OGG Vorbis streams, but seems to have improved HLS streams. The RDS PI field could be fixed. So far, it's vastly improved overall from when I bought it (was going to return it, never did!), and glad that ChoYong is actively supporting it and listening to our feedback. Noticed also that power on and power off screens are now in Chinese... That can be fixed. :) Needs more colour in the menus- There is no green, except in the update progress bars. Now, I kinda doubt they can fit decode of FM subcarrier audio at 67 & 92kHz NFM, though it would be a nice feature. Highly unlikely they'll ever add DAB+/DRM to this model, as that'll probably be in a future version of the radio itself (LC100, etc.). DRM is somewhat usable of SW here, but still unlikely. Equally, weather radio is probably beyond this radio's capability to tune (162MHz), so that's also unlikely. There's still room to add stream info in a future update, though, and I think this is still in the works for the next update or so.
I just checked to see if I could update to 4.7 via WiFi and it doesn't seem to be available yet (I see: Current version: LC90EN_CYOS_4.6.2_240929_1512 / Latest version: You are using the latest version)
4.7 firmware available only for LC90EN and not for LC90G, why? Also they need to add info about bit rate, song name, artist name on internet radios. Just like RDS on FM Radio By the way this is from Amazon UK, english version.
Not a waste of money, obviously you only compare internet radio, no other radio has shortwave with SSB as well , this is an amazing receiver that does it all
There are no other internet radios with 40000+ station, SIM card option, and absolutely perfect voice search at the same time. Seems, not even difference what language you are performing voice search. AI can find results using different languages. Fantastic radio.

I'm even more tempted to buy one. Thanks for the update.
I hope they continue improving this radio even after the next model comes out.
Of course
Really makes me want to get one of these. This is the first and only time I’ve ever seen a radio that has been made that can be updated via internet.
I'm going to buy when the new version is released and gets a positive review from you
They are really improving this radio. Kudos to them

Updating my LC90 now!!! Love that radio! (I also own Tecsun PL 330, Tecsun PL 880, and a ZHIWIS [sp?] c919)
thank you Giles, this is very helpful.
Do hope they upgrade the firmware for the Choyong A8W too, and give it the same internet streaming search upgrades as they did the L90.
Will they be producing LC100 model soon???
I purchased one of these, but returned it after a week or so, as I had a lot of issues with its performance.
I noticed the "Power Off" message that I had in English is now in Chinese, I assume.
They did say that it will be fixed soon
Thanks
