Being based in the Netherlands as an Air Force Association Liaison Officer , as a secondary duty for three years in Maastricht in the early eighties, , it became a labour of love and dedication and was honored to be visiting so many sites all over mainland Europe and met my wife in the process.:)) It still remains so until I leave my mortal cil It is a very special place, thank you all so very much, it so very much appreciated and I still return to visit the sites when I can. Lest We Forget
I was there the week before to visit the grave of my father for probably the last time where I lay my wreath. Gutted to see it cleared away to make way for all this pomp.
I kid you not I went there early one morning and met a Ghost I was alone and then I was joined by an old man who was standing behind me ?I turned and spoke to him ?He asked if i had ever been there before and he said I will show you around he showed me lots of historic stuff about the cemetery I turned away from him and i asked him a question and he was gone He was not English spoke with an accent but had great knowledge of the area Who was he ?? where did he come from I dont have a clue But the things he told me about I checked and they were all correct and no I had not been drinking

Lest We Forget
We all owe that generation so much for what they did. With my deepest respects.
I was there on Sunday, very moving ceremony especially the "flower children".
I took my daughter over, probably one of the most moving ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed
Thanks for shoot and post.
total respect
Respect, 76th Anniversary
Great video. I was there on the Sunday too, had to come two hours early to get a seat.
