Also noticed how Jimmy was laughing , I'm sure Jason said something like "shit!.. my dad is probably cursing me up a storm in rock n roll heaven right now"
Everyone make's mistakes , even John Bonham himself , his son is an absolute spitting image of him , he add's a slight modern "flare" to his chops though , which is nice.
Jason is actually playing correctly, it's JP who starts playing sloppy, and after the drum rolls they are supposed to be in sync for the "new" riff, which the band already goes into when Jason starts hir rolls. Any Led Zep fan will know this. Look/listen what Jason is playing when the other guys stops, exactly what he is supposed to play.
No they are both at fault I believe. JP is late coming into the bridge but JB should have picked up on that. JP had no way of knowing the JB was going to start the drum fill when he was doing the power chords
my heart just broke in half for poor jason, he played that part twice as long as he should have, u can tell when he was supposed to go into the triplets cause the lights changed for it but then they stoped them cause they realised he kept going, 9:08, not gonna be on dvd unless they crop that song, i gotta say jason bonham plays fucking great hes got some amazing talent and takes chances like a mother fucker, so what if he fucked up. he does some bullshit fills in the other songs aswell
Coming out of the solo, Jason was going rolling the drums at double the time that Jimmy was playing the guitar. I don't know how that happened. They did it right in the rehearsal 2 days before this.
@sixfoursoul1 Dude...you' re right! Jason isn't even close on that part. Probably why they aren't releasing the DVD! Page and Jones have a telepathy between them..and could play any Zeppelin song in there sleep..... Give Jason credit for trying...but he's not on the same level as GODS!
I hope people know it was page that screwed up, not jason, Jason came in like he was supposed to for the last of the fast stuff, page was already into the last verse...but whew, this is my first time seeing the whole thing and what a whiff....I really believe though, had they kept at this, the next few nights would have seen them take off. Some of the worst of this is better than those bootlegs from 76-78 I wish I never bought. I love this Dazed and Confused for it's low tip toe through Sabbath
Yeah, Jason screwed up as did Robert Plant in the beginning, when he came on to early at 1:10. Jimmy reacts and smiles, but hey their my favorite band of all time no one comes close.
That really wasn't much of a screw up at all....if it could be called one at all. Zepplin is about themes, loose forms, and improvisation - much the way impressionistic jazz is. Give Jason a break, he was brilliant. This was a grand performance. There are worse "screw ups" on Zep's best studio records!!! Zep was about power, feel, and emotional impact...if you want technical perfection, listen to Yes.
@ericjungleboy Jason simply came in a measure to late. Page played that transition riff no different that he has in the past! Page had to improvise on this version to make up for Jason's mistake. Look at the eye contact between Jones and Page during that part. It says it all.
It’s pretty crazy listening to the concert at kezar stadium in 1973 they pretty much made the same mistake on dazed at that show. Still two amazing performances though 😎
Sorry, that was Jason's fault. Page played that change over riff the same amount of times that he always has. Listen to any other previous version of the song. Jason simply lost his timing. Jason played well, but he's not the drummer his father was, still a cool performance though.
I think it was Page that misread Bonham. Page does that Signature Lick....raised his hand for the cue...Bonham gave him a proper 2-measure fill, and Page came in 2 counts late. Page tends to lose his count sometimes. Go back and listed to "How Many More Tmes" from the DVD....Page flips the riff over a couple times and Jones covers his butt. Jason MAY HAVE come is early....But Page should have read the 2-bar fill and hit that E.
MAJOR screw up coming out of the guitar solo in Dazed and Confused. Jason goes to the triplets around the drums a little too late. The whole thing comes to a screeching halt because he totally screwed up but other than that he was pretty good.
One look says it all...they were doing SO well until Jason B screwed up the drum rolls !!! Yes, JP was NOT a happy bunny !!!! They 'recovered' well though...
You "know" it sounds awful, that's the sad part. Sometimes you revisit something and it's okay to realise it wasn't as good as you thought. This is one of those times.
I'm glad they (mainly Robert) decided to stick to one reunion concert. Jimmy Page is only a shadow of what he used to be. Although brilliant, he always was a sloppy player compared to other great players of his time like for instance Ritchie Blackmore and Jeff Beck. During this concert he really screwed up. Can't recall one decent solo of him. (And I used to be a huge Zep fan.)
fantastic dazed confused
man, I wish I could've seen this live, in person...
il y avait env 15000 places pour ... 10 millions de demandes !!!!!!!!! (chiffres vérifiés)
Easily the greatest jam band of all time! This is incredible!
Also noticed how Jimmy was laughing , I'm sure Jason said something like "shit!.. my dad is probably cursing me up a storm in rock n roll heaven right now"
Wow, Jimmy's Laugh at 9:47 says it all, it won't be coming out on DVD. Hey all in fun
Joke on you, it comes out as DVD.
RambleON 1970 has the best vids of this show. The sound is really good. Image too.

Everyone make's mistakes , even John Bonham himself , his son is an absolute spitting image of him , he add's a slight modern "flare" to his chops though , which is nice.
goddamn robert came in too early, that guitar intro is the best thing in this song

Celtics wizard working man's Celt aspell sorc3ry at its finest
Do you not notice he recovered around the 9:50 mark , Jimmy,Plant and John Paul , all respect Jason , everyone make's slip ups.

Turns out they're releasing the show! I wonder how they worked past that mistake towards the end. Audio from the rehearsals?
Yeah, Jason screwed up as did Robert Plant in the beginning, when he came on to early at 1:10. Jimmy reacts and smiles, but hey their my favorite band of all time no one comes close.

Richard Dawkins on lead guitar!!!! Go Richard!
9:07 INCREDIBLE!! JASON HAS MADE A MISTAKE!! :S
2:38, that old dude is playing so fucking hard that riff, that not even the death hardcore bands can achive that
you mean jimmy? who do you think started that? Jimmy
Sorry, that was Jason's fault. Page played that change over riff the same amount of times that he always has. Listen to any other previous version of the song. Jason simply lost his timing. Jason played well, but he's not the drummer his father was, still a cool performance though.

Ouch!!!!! It all went horribly wrong around 9:14.
"The King Has No Clothes On..."
Funny part is you're complaining about a man who is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000x more successful than you...
MAJOR screw up coming out of the guitar solo in Dazed and Confused. Jason goes to the triplets around the drums a little too late. The whole thing comes to a screeching halt because he totally screwed up but other than that he was pretty good.
As a musician, it's killing me that this video is slightly out of synch with the audio.
Found it...comment above.
Its awful cause they play it lower? Not really it actually sounds pretty damn cool...
Tht wasnt as bad as I remembered it. They did cut out the screw up on the dvd.
Your whats wrong with the music industry today
One look says it all...they were doing SO well until Jason B screwed up the drum rolls !!! Yes, JP was NOT a happy bunny !!!! They 'recovered' well though...
9:15 Poor Jason lost count when to go into the fills around the drums...Yikes! I wonder if Jimmy was pissed..that sucks
¡¡No mames Jason la cagó horriblemente!! :S
in the words of charles barkley " TUR-ABLE "
It's funny how little you understand music.

Lose the BOW Page! It's not the 70's anymore. It sounds SO LAME.
MF DOOM is better. This is awful.
