- It was such a tremendous experience that I'm splitting my National video into two parts. This first part will focus mostly on the cards that I purchased. The second part (to come) will focus mainly on the people who made my experience so special.

It was awesome hanging out with you Dan! I think we made some pretty awesome National memories. That 39 DiMaggio is beautiful my friend.
It was great meeting you at the national Dan. Even better when we had a chance to talk near that fellow with the Joe Namath items. Thank you for being most welcoming to my son me.
No wonder you went through the budget. All your pick ups are fantastic additions to the collection. You bought all bangers.
I’ll see you at the Philly show.
Awesome pickups Dan. Congratulations. Was great spending time with you.
Great to meet with you and chat in Cleveland. Congrats on your fantastic pickups! You did really well!
Dan, absolutely insane cards from the National. I have followed you for a long time. So glad you were able to acquire some fantastic additions to your collection.
I also tend to lone wolf card shows at times because I feel like I can see more and get through cases faster. By the end of the show however I definitely realized the power and value of having an extra pair of eyes help you to not only point out Cards, but help judge condition and just for the coolness of it in general. I think this hobby and community is just so great because, not just talking you and I, but in general terms the odds of any two people finding a common thread to bond them in someway is pretty rare. The cardboard finds a way to bring us all together, and I am thankful for that! It was great getting to meet you and share pick ups and bounce set and price variables off of you. You had a great weeks worth of pickups I had the pleasure of getting to see in person. I did not get to see the banks rookie you picked up from Rick. Congrats on that and all the awesome additions! Thanks for the shoutout my cardboard brother!
@@4softcorners728 I will forever remember my first pickup of the 2024 National was handed to me from you and it was exactly a card I needed for my Rosen PC. So thanks!
Congrats on some amazing pickups Dan. Across the board.
Really enjoyed this recap. Beautiful cards. I was fortunate to see many of them in person.
Thanks for sharing Dan. You picked up a wide variety of examples and pieces.
Nothing wrong with being a lone wolf or being myopic from time to time! You were able to spot some terrific additions to your expansive, history-rich collection. Congratulations.
Fabulous recap capped with 3 incredible finds! Wow!
Dan- you KILLED IT!
Some incredible stuff in there man !
It was cool being there for your Jimmie Foxx Dixie Lids, and chatting about the Topps Double Headers set with you!
Stay in touch brother, it was great to meet you!
Well done Dan! Great cards and stories.
Hi Dan. It was great seeing you again and chatting at Ash's get together. You had an amazing National with all those pickups. I look forward to seeing you again at Strongsville. Talk soon my friend.
Awesome pickups - really enjoyed listening to the commentary on each card. Great additions to your PC.
Great stuff, my friend! I just made a trade with Leighton. He is great to work with, as expected. Love the recap video.
Great cards! I love the Dimaggio. As a Red Sox fan all my Dimaggios are Dom cards. 😃I look forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing.
It was really a pleasure getting to meet you in Cleveland, and terrific video as always. By the way, it is great to see The Pennysleever semi-rigids out in the wild! It actually is a thrill seeing them in use. 😀
And I've already ordered more! The semi-rigids are far superior than what I had been using.
@@DansVintageBaseballPC So you did! I did not put two and two together! 🤣Thanks very much, and they should be there tomorrow.
Nice pickups, Dan!
Awesome pickups Dan! I've got both the Gilliam Double Header and the Merkle Colgan Chips on my want list, so it was cool that you picked those up along with some outstanding big boy cards. Looking forward to the Saturday show my friend.
I love the double header set. Very underrated set with great color and many HOF stars.
Sounds like a great time, Dan. Looking forward to part 2.
Fantastic pick ups Dan! Obviously my favorite is the 55 Monte Doubleheader
Congrats on the stellar pickups, housemate!
Great pick ups overall Dan. I saw a handful of these at the show but not everything you got. Just an incredible show overall.
Awesome pickups! Congrats!
Nice pickups and you obviously had a great show. Its nice to watch a set collector. I have been wanting to mention to you since you are a Boston Braves fan due to your father's love that I own a unique piece that I picked up at the Cleveland National in 2017. Its a game used bat of Sam Jethro from his rookie of the year season in 1950 autographed by the whole team. Its really a great bat of a great player after a long career in the Negro leagues who got to play in his later years baseball in the Major League..
Wow, just wow. That is an amazing piece. I hope one day to see it!
Thanks for the video 😊
Dan , it was a pleasure getting to talk again with you and really enjoyed it. Congratulations on your wonderful pick-ups and I am so pleased you got your Boston Joe Wood card.
Doug, the grade for Wood just popped, and it got the 2!
@DansVintageBaseballPC Awesome 👌
That makes me happy for you , congratulations !!
You had a great show. Killer cards
I love the Joe Wood card, great find. Dan McKee is a great guy.
I'd never met him before, as he says he hasn't done the Philly show in years. But I instantly liked the guy, old school, no nonsense, knows his stuff.
@@DansVintageBaseballPC He doesn't live too far from me... I have known him for years. "Old school, no nonsense, knows his stuff" is exactly right... his personal collection is RIDICULOUS.
Great stuff my friend
Cards that were glued to albums are always crazy though, either you have glue residue or paper loss. I’ve been through it, looking at 2s that look sharp, vibrant, and centered, but with a dab of glue on the blank back. 😢
Great Pickups. I am disappointed that j didn't see you there
I heard recently that Al Rosen's nickname was "The Hebrew Hammer". For that alone I am going to start collecting him. My wife is Jewish and loves the idea.
I did a video on Al Rosen with Skaght from Reindeer Studios where we discuss these issues. Check it out! ua-cam.com/video/A38SuU6Q6ms/v-deo.html
Awesome video my man new sub
great stuff, If the Merkle becomes available I would like to own it. Maybe we can trade as I have some other colgan's or I would be happy to buy
Why get bad conditioned cards signed? If paying so much for a signature, why not get the best card possible? I think CSG had the best slab label combination. Its too bad they did not last.
If a HOF RC has the potential to receive a high grade, then I'm going to grade that card. If its a lower grade card that will sell for like 15 bucks raw, then the HOF auto authenticated and slabbed will add value to the card. But its going to stay in my PC for a while, so I'm good with it not being a mint card.
