My wife went to the dollar store and got a plastic mesh basket. She cut out squares from the mesh basket to the size of the bottom of each compartment. We then just slip the square into each compartment letting it rest on the bottom. Very simple and cost about two dollars. We did this for all compartments to protect the bottom of each compartment.
Go to craft store and buy plastic canvas that is used with yarn to make craft items . Can get 10 sheets for about 2 dollars. Some stores sell in pack of 3. Only need 1. Cut to sizene of basket compartments and works great and so easy.

Is it still working and it doesn't melt? My dishwasher basket has holes that are too large for my utensils. I'm tired of hand washing them.

Get a 20 foot roll of gutter guard for $6.99, cut to size, drop in.. done! Have tons leftover when the others break.
