Got a lifetime supply of real ones for $10, 0 minutes . . .
😂
Difícilmente algo más estúpido y complicado.
🤩🤩
clever but impractical, the material, thickness and locking mechanisms of commercial zip ties beats what you have made here, even if they do cost. Your time has a cost too so don't forget that.
Popppp😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Wast of time cheap to buy them
By the time you did all of that I was able to drive to the Home Depot and pick up a bag of 1,000 of them all assorted colors and sizes for tree fiddy, then I went to Sonics to get a milk shake. Then I got home and connected all 1000 of them into one big ass giant ring around my house to make it stronger in case of hurricanes. Then I took a nap.. woke up to catch the last 30 seconds of this video.
😂🤣🌟🙋
Talk about walking around the block to get across the street! Harbor Freight has cable ties so cheap why would anyone bother to do this?
But why do it the easy way when you can make a convoluted process out of it?🤪
Not to mention...you paid a nickel for your bottles, once redeemed you can purchase a package of cable ties. All comments on this video are negative. The project itself a waste of time. On another note...the fabulous job of producing the video compounds the waste of time. I could find better things to during my retirement years!!
😂
ESPERABA EL MOMENTO DEL AJUSTE QUE ES LO MAS IMPORTANTE PERO LA VERDAD NO AJUSTA COMO UNA ORIGINAL SE PUEDE VER A SIMPLE VISTA POR ESO TIENES QUE UTILIZAR CALOR PARA QUE AJUSTE MAS ME QUEDO CON LAS ORIGINALES
So much time and effort to make something that's very cheap.
Just go buy em.
I have a bag of 100 zip ties I bought 20 years ago. It is still half full. 20 years from now, when I run out, I will come back to this video, thanks. Bookmarked!
If you remember 20 years from now, where they even are, soak them in water for 24 hours to make them less brittle before using.
I have a bag from 20 years ago still half full. When I run out in 20 years I will go to the store and buy more!
Best comment of the day!
@@hifinswordMe to.
I buy the ones that you can reuse over and over. A little button on it and it opens
In our childhood, we were making this with coconut tree leaves as toy watch
I don't know why I get sucked into watching these videos.
Me neither!
Me too, especially when I'm still awake at silly o'clock clock in the morning
yea what ☝🏻said
He saves on plastic ties, by using 1000 dollar in tools.
Muy criativo. Perfectamente aplicable.
A video of a solution for a problem that is grossly inferior to the very cheap alternative that already exists.
Muchas gracias y saludos cordiales, Juan.
It is a good idea, and creative, and recycles plastic. But there is also "cost-benefits" of time. Sometimes, we get ripped off by others, so DIY. But sometimes, something cheap and bought for $2, then the mass-produced makes sense.
I'm all in favor of resourceful recycling. I re-use empty cat litter jugs for mini-trashcans and for portable urinals. For these straps, however, this is too much work for the cost benefit. Straps are super cheap at Harbor Freight.
I like that. between the tools (including a bandsaw and a heatgun) and the labour involved for making one of those straps, it would save me the 2 bucks I pay for a pack of 50. Not to mention it will deprive me of the pleasure of fiddling with each tie, especially if I have to use a bundle of them. In places where I don't have an outlet for the heatgun.
Seriously, I appreciate the creativity, but that is one stupid way to get tiewraps.
I'll rather buy plastic clamps to spare me of preparing the needed materials to construct one. But a good try for everyone to make their own.
I will keep buying, to each his own, but those are not as durable and take up more of my time like this video did😂
Brillante!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🙏🙄
NIce way to repurpose some plastic bottles.
And a nice, simple tool to do it.
But a critique:
Why the digital measurement of a random block of wood? almost any handy size will do.
Why did you cut slots in the wood using a hacksaw equiped with a metal cutting blade?
To use those somewhere remote, such as up a ladder, or on the side of the house or on the boat; now I would have to carry a heat gun?.
What if I am tying down something which is, itself sensitive to heat?
Plus carying a few random zip-ties in my kit is simple and neat, not all coiled up and tangled together.
Regardless, I think I'll make one & see what other uses I can find for old bottles.
"How to get on DO NOT RECOMMEND" Now thats a better title for this vid
Gracias
Great job recycling / repurposing 👍👍👍
Stay well, Joe Z
Good to know that it is possible. Otherwise it's a solution looking for a problem.
Gracias. Salud y alegría.
That's great if you can not purchase a pack of plastic clamps. But they are fairly cheap and available. Give us something that is expensive to buy but cheap to make.
Like air conditioner or refrigerator? lol
I wish!
Appreciate the video for its creativity and innovation.
Days of inexpensive zip-ties are behind us.
Easier to buy a zip tie!😊 5:17
Yes just buy them
This is crazy. Who has time for this? Zip ties are cheap.
I hear you. There is so much we can make ourselves. My Doctor told me I needed a
pacemaker & ut was going to cost $140,000.00 and about the same for the surgery.
I told him, Oh, hell no & went home & built my own out of spare electronic parts I had
lying around. I had my neighbor come over and installed it in my chest in my garage.
Total cost? $5.00.
!
LOL.
That makes more sense than making your own zip ties that you can buy at the dollar store.
Just like Ironman 1 !
Brilliant 👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spare electronic parts - 35 cents. New lease on life from DIY pacemaker - Priceless!
The knot is badly explained or at least I can't see how it's done !
Considering the low cost of manufactured cable ties making them this way seems ludicrous
Sadly we live in an affluent age and prefer littering rathwr than recycling..so this fellow gets my vote for inovation..i recycle a lot of high tech waste material in Alternative Construction Techniques ..!!

Your missing the point.would much sooner be stuck on a desert island with him and his initiative than you
@@TheTimutube Yeah. All you would need is an electric drill and heat gun not to mention a source of plastic bottles, which, honestly would be better used for collecting drinking water.
Seriously. I could waste half a day making them myself or just go to Harbor Freight and get a package of them that I'll likely never us up for $0.99
@@RockDog101 you're welcome my friend...!!
If you're stuck out in the Bush or the way " out-back etc., you bloody soon learn to use whatever you have as either a reciprocal , a improvised tie or a void former as opposed to littering the Environment around you..i.e., if you go fishing in a.o., in Mozambique the locals will beg you for your Old Plastic water containers, & would offer you a weeks tending to your Camp in exchange. They even re-crush the Conc., from Buildings destroyed during the Bushwar for building material..desperate times call for desperate measures..no E- Bay or Harbour Freight around my friend and keeping the natural enviroment pristine is their first priority...!!!
Però devi fare vedere bene come fai il nodo ciao grazie
Very clever! Thank you.
Whoever doesn't have money to buy a T-rap, will he have money for all those machines? poor dreams,
4:14 NEVER shows CLEARLY how the top part is made to hold itself together !!!! You need either a stapler or glue !!!! And he just FOOLED everyone. Video only makes him money 💴; while stealing YOUR TIME.
SUPER COOL BRO
for all the haters, go live in a country where it is poor for a year. With the humility you will surely experience your perspective will change and you'll realize that you lived in the most wasteful country (USA) in the world. I am speaking from experience. When China no longer makes zip ties for the US and you can't afford the American made zip ties you will remember this video.
Asombroso y muy ingenioso, arriba el reciclage
Muchas gracias.
Hmm, not sure I would find this interesting even if I used zip ties for anything. Pretty sure people like them because they're fast. What you're doing isn't fast, and making flat 'cordage' out of plastic bottles isn't new.
I guess if you can afford to buy them it's okay but why? I don't wanna have to mess with Cutting all that crap When I'm tying wires together on An air conditioner. You can easily melt PVC or such a What on fire if you got the Barney Phife
type
I just go to the 99 cent store !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stop wasting your time. Just go to Harbor Freight and them. They're cheap!!!
good tips for life
Impressive, however it’s easier for me to buy a pack of 50 for $5.00. The same price as a soda in a plastic bottle.
con todo respeto...
me cuesta 45 pesos mexicanos la bolsa con 100 y me duran medio dia;
cuestion de emfoques
nada personal
Zip ties are $1.25 plus tax at dollar tree. All the screws, blade and steel rod about the same. Time spent is wasted. Just because you can does not mean you should.
Invento rechimbo
So ya need a heat gun too? Outside on a job-site?. UV resistant? Guess I’ll stick to buying them.
Por one dollar compro 50 abrazaderas plasticas no necesito fabricar 😂 jajJajaj...
i wish when he made the “Secure” section he would slow down the procedure. Apart from that what a great clip
I prefer to buy them rather than build. These belts are cheap, quite cheap. No time for long sh*t.

OK, that has been shown years ago. What you are making are not clamps and what your are not buying anymore are not clamps either. They are called tiedowns. And once I see a guy that needs gloves for such a simple thing, I have seen enough!
I wear gloves all the time for simple things. Even when I vacuum.
God your cruel
At 4:00 it's hard to see how you make the fastener of the clamp tie thing. I like the blade stripper device.
😨...if all that is what I have to do... I prefer to continue buying them🤣
Time is money, Too much time to do nothing, manufactured cable ties, or tie racks are more suitable and quick to use
I notice you wear gloves for this operation. Is this to hide the lacerations you copped on your first attempt?
Hay que ser demasiado T A C A Ñ O.... Para hacer esto...
Que V E R G U E N Z A ....
Not wasting my time where the content creator is either unwilling or unable to speak and articulate their process.
now i am fucken impressed ...i wanna know...how u figured this out?
😂😂 easier to buy them ready made, so expensive they're not !!!!
Top job. Congratulations from belgium 🇧🇪
3 minutes, lol, now that's what I call click bait.
Bello bravo
Hallo.
But is it worth the troubles???? Its so cheap here, about 5 cents each????
