I think aPewter + fSteel/fGold, burning pewter would allow you to store while still being normal, and you could store even more if you were willing to be slow/sick!
@@dominicpizano887 A steelrunner/pewterarm combo would be obscenely powerful in close combat. Spike them with feruchemical zinc and feruchemical gold and you've got a real monster
Just a quick note about Hazedodgers. Brandon has said that if someone taps speed while burning a metal, it’ll speed up their burn rate like duralumin, enhancing their seeking to the point it can pierce copperclouds just from tapping at a reasonable rate. So I’d say the two powers build on each other flawlessly.
Retrospect (A-Gold F-Zinc) is possibly quite busted! When burning gold, you can have the vision and thoughts of your past and alternate selves. Gold was distressing for Vin to burn, but if you tapped Zinc to gain mental processing speed, you could actually synthesise the simultaneous thoughts and sights properly. It'd be like doubling not just your thinking speed, but drawing on an additional, semi-randomised set of knowledge. And if your Gold-granted alternate history is *also* tapping Zinc, you'd wind up with better than double thinking speed! Absolutely crazy for a master strategist, whose past selves might have probed their enemy for weaknesses or attempted different strategies. Also it could be crazy for a scout, who might not even need to go somewhere to be able to see it - their alternate self did the reconnaissance, and even if it went badly for them, they could still access the sights and sounds they might have seen. It's almost like a divine knowledge buff, giving you otherwise impossible information - think Subaru from Re:Zero, with knowledge of failed attempts at navigating the present. To observers, it might even look like you're messing with Fortune! But it's also got drawbacks. Retrospectating is probably very unpredictable; what if your past self was *also* just hoping you'd be the one to go do the suicide mission? Also, the further back you go, the less reliable any information is, as you can't know what happened in the intervening time. And gold is, y'know, expensive, so burning it is always going to be a bit of a costly decision. I'd put Retrospect in A- or S-tier!
A mythwalker would be incredible at hiding and laying low for extended periods of time. Gather like a day’s worth of resources, pop up a slowness bubble in/around your safehouse, and then actively store Connection to make people forget about you. I don’t know how long cadmium can last, but we know that it burns much slower than bendalloy. A day’s-worth of cadmium would probably net you like a week to a month of hiding time.
Additionally, Mythwalkers have a unique opportunity to pull sacrifice plays where they take both themselves and a dangerous element out of play, and then try to reach out to said dangerous element so that you can buy yourself time
I do think Mythwalker powers enhance eachother a lot, or at the very least storing connection vastly enhances Cadmium. Hear me out, one of the problems with trapping someone in a Cadmium bubble is you have to get close to them, and once you are there they probably won't be too happy with you. If you could tap connection to make the trust/like you and convince they to stay calm while you are in your bubble then you have a super easy time locking them down until your back up is there. I don't think that really changes it's tier, but still a valuable connection between the powers imo.
I think Allomantic Gold is stronger than people give it credit for. But it also depends how big is your control over image you can see. If you will be able to see your alternative life from certain point in time then you will gain acess to your alternative memories - and thats basicly non - physical Forgery. Imagine you are normal person and suddenly you need to fight - just go back in time in your thoughts to moment you were chosing career, project your alternative past when you choose to be soldier, and get acess to your memories as soldier.
Funny thing, it seems like A-Gold F-Aluminum Twinborn can actually change their identity. There Twinborn name from the rpg book is Vessel and it’s said they can change their personality overnight. This implies that if they burn gold, then empty themselves of identity, and then tap their identity they could change into an alternate version of themselves. I really want to see the greater implications of a Twinborn like that.
@@JediBlueDog I also wonder if by storing identity you can manage to see the past and alternate lives from things you're holding. If you use gold, then store your identity, one of the other idetities fills the empty space left. But, if you empty your identity and use gold, whose identity do you see the past off? Maybe of a thing you're holding, giving you a power like psychometry, which in itself is a super usefull power, but if combined which forgery lets you see the past of anything, even if you haven't seen the object before, which sounds very usefull!
Iron Stomach: In the Mistborn Adventure Game, you can tap Bendalloy to become fat or even obese temporarily. This making you temporarily more massive (or slightly less massive) would be very handy for an allomancer whose abilities relate directly to their mass. Discount Crasher with added disguise factor.
So this is an amalgamation of a couple different comments but apparently tapping speed also speeds up the burn rate of a metal, like duralamin does. So I think that means if you were also storing as much speed as you could, while burning cadmium your burn rate would plummet. Now maybe this changes how much time is passing but it would greatly extend how long the metal would last. We dont know the hard numbers on this but with a heafty supply of cadmium and steel to dump your speed into, we might be able to see forward traveling time-travelers. Able to find or pay for a safe place amd jump years or decades at a time into the future. Just slowly
I just realized that some of these gnats would be very powerful with a hemalurgy spike adding something else useful to the mix , duraluman gnats would become really useful then
Mythwalker is perfect, if you want to be able to see what happens over a long span of history. It would take a very specific set of circumstances and a very specific type of person, but those two powers, specifically, work together great. Basically, you would have to have a lair somewhere where you would constantly burn cadmium while storing Connection, skipping ahead months and even years. You would have to tap Connection to reintegrate into the world after you came out, but that would be exactly what you needed. You could skip through life, probably experiencing several centuries of history, despite only living a normal lifespan, as you experienced it. The problems caused by having no one who cares about you, since you're hardly ever around, are all handily solved with Connection.
Alternatively, store Connection in your daily life in preparation for your journey forward in time. Then, start tapping, do something mildly cool, and burn Cadmium and tap even more Duralumin. Your enhanced state of connection to the world will last many times longer as viewed from the outside, enhancing your myth beyond what should normally be possible with that amount of connection alone.
The mythwalker would make an excellent interagator. I mean imagine if marci could force a person into conversation with the connection in her metal mind then gather many hours worth of info in an instant
I think A-iron F-steel is good for it movement abilities, it only minor but I think the ability to gain height through pulling with iron, I think it would also allow you to be more agile as it would let you make slight adjustments(I don’t know if this is how that works), I think it would also help counteract one of the main weaknesses of allomantic iron in a fight, that weakness being you need metal behind a person to pull metals to hurt them, enhanced speed would allow you to move quicker to a position with metal behind them and then pull. Iron would probably allow you to save your speed reserves as of you need to get somewhere quickly you could uses iron to move quickly from location to location and save speed for when your entire body needs to move quickly

Just a note about storing weight. The reason for being able to fall and still survive is due to momentum, momentum = velocity x mass. Since momentum cannot be lost, then when weight is increased velocity decreases. This also works the other way around, decreasing weight while moving will increase velocity. We see Kris talk to Wax about this in the New Seran ball, also we see Wax use this during his first fight with the duralimin coin shot in Bilming though he rarely uses it to slow down as he has pushes anyway. Hope this helps, sorry for getting sciency ;) !
Interesting, I'll have to re-read those sections of Era 2. In WoA Sazed stores his weight while jumping off a cliff and his fall slows due to wind resistance. So I think there may be two ways to accomplish the same task.
As another commenter pointed out, an A-Gold+F-Aluminum twinborn _might_ be able to use their powers to swap identities with one of their alternative past selves, which would be pretty interesting!
Interesting question, is a mythwalker slows time, does that amplify quantity of connection being stored, since those you’re connected to are outside of the speed bubble
Maybe that would work if you're storing a specific Connection, but if you're just storing blanket Connection, I believe it's relative to the Feruchemist, so no visible change would occur. My thought behind this is that it would otherwise get very messy, because if you have a Connection inside the bubble and outside, you're storing at two different rates simultaneously.
Gaurdian could also fire a bullet while aiming to miss, tap speed and move a little to the side before pulling the bullet right at the back of the target
Ironstomach: The ability to be a lazy ass, pull food and drink towards you, and store all that junk in your metal mind instead of your body. That's a busted one ngl.
