I do love Tama as well (although I don't have a set currently, only a snare). I thought you were more of a Pearl fan? I think if you like tama but I think you really need a Gretsch usa custom set (preferably 80s), they absolutely kill!
Colorsound5 are more similar to the current 900 series. The 2000 series is more similar to the 2002 series. Colorsound 5 were lower range and the 2000 series higher. You can notice it in that the colorsound 5 have much less sustain. The 2000 series was already a professional series. Like you, I am a fan of Paiste Colorsound.
